All I read was, "I got a shipment notification..." and I think my heart skipped a beat. Dammit! What a letdown when I finished reading your post.

Similar thing happened to me. I have an order in with Verizon, also for November delivery. The other day, I received an iPhone sized box from Verizon via UPS. Turns out they were just sending me a carton to ship my old phone back once my new one arrives. Sigh.

Welp, I finally ran out of patience and canceled my original pre-order and went for a 256gb matte black 7+. I saw it was available for pickup at my local Apple Store and I couldn't resist! I hope you all start seeing some movement soon!
I'm also thinking of doing this, but the jet black looks too damn sexy to give up on!
That's what I keep telling myself, too.
I don't want to end up with buyers remorse when I'm out on the streets and see someone with a JB Plus after getting the matte black. They are both beautiful but that JB is just too sexy, lol.
The wait sucks asssssssssss, but it'll be worth it.

I have a MB plus and I'm considering returning it and waiting it out with y'all, but I have to decide by Monday. Ship dates for new orders are saying Nov, so it sounds like I could actually be waiting two months if I switch

May I ask what you don't like about the MB? I have a November JB preorder but had resolved to buy the first black plus I could find to end the waiting.
Honestly? There's really nothing wrong with it. It's very well done. I just think the jet black looks better. And the matte black shows finger prints more than I expected. Not really a problem, but I banked on that being a benefit of getting the matte black one.
Apple cancelled my 9/9 order because of issues processing...I had an AT&T order placed at the same time due to glitches during the pre-order process. I cancelled my AT&T order over a week ago, restored my upgrade eligibility, and they assured me Apple would have no issue processing an order. Well, not so. The conflict still existed, and Apple cancelled it.
Apple sent me an email explaining, and said I'd have to place a new order (which of course ships:Novemeber), but they said to email them the order number and they would try to prioritize it.
The exact same thing, exact same reason and scenario, happened to a friend of mine last week, and within 2 days Apple shipped his phone.
So far I've not even heard back from Apple after responding, so I'm in limbo, but hopeful.

Maybe some good news, just called Verizon, rep I spoke with informed me that in her equipment status screen she sees a ship date of 10/26, but a delivery by date of 11/23, don't know if this is true, also informed me it could ship early, that it won't change on my Verizon until I get a tracking number, wtf
