Bad experience at Best Buy I was at the checkout with the person at cashier doing amazon price check on an item I was going to buy at the lady with big finger nails scratched my belking screen protector temperglass .

DID the phone screen get scratched or the temper glass I see it as deep scratch ?
Will Apple replace the screen guard since Apple installed it for me ?

Last I checked the iPhone screen is not made of Diamond or Sapphire.

Yep you are correct, it's not diamond or sapphire crystal. But if you check out the current gorilla glass spec sheet you will see the density and young's modulus collate to show that it can withstand high levels of strain and stress - much more than what the phone will deal with every day or even on most exceptional circumstances. You will need to have something that is very hard to scratch today's gorilla glass.

Look at the Note 7 scratch test results, despite what Corning says, GG5 seems to scratch way easier then previous versions. Just the nature of the technology, to improve breakage, they glass becomes softer and more prone to scratches. I would rather them go the other way, since I hate scratches and rarely drop a phone.

I thought the same till I saw two huge scratches on my wife's 6S Plus. It's back to screen protectors for us. I'm waiting on power support.

The iPhone screen can absolutely scratch. Just because it has gorilla glass doesn't mean it won't scratch. I always recommend a screen protector. While the screen is not scratch prone. It can get scratched and develop micro abrasions for sure. Adding a screen protector can only help reduce those risks so why not. And to the OP just remove the screen protector. I'm willing to bet no damage was done to your screen only the protector. Just buy another one to replace it.

However if it was me I would have complained to Best Buy and had them replace my screen protector for free since she scratched it.

The iPhone's gorilla glass will NOT scratch with day to day use. There has been absolutely no point of having a screen protector since the iPhone 6

I see people shattering screens all the time. I'm an advocate of using screen protects and I've never crack a screen on any of my phones.

I have a 6S that I use without a screen protector (ghastly things).
Indoors the screen looks flawless still but outside in bright sunshine you can see there are lots of micro scratches and one or two slightly deeper ones. Doesn't bother me and 99% of the time they aren't visible (British weather for you).
But the glass is definitely not invincible against small scratches.

I dropped my 6 on the ground face down off my couch. All was well until my niece tried to help me by grabbing the phone toward her to pick it up. Huge scratch down the middle of the phone. I've also had large scratches from sand particles in my pockets (not from the beach).

Sure, everyday use won't scratch your screen, but it's still very possible for it to get scratched. My 6s is scratch free and hopefully my 7 will continue the trend, as I'm a naked phone user.

Never had a screen protector on any of my iPhones and never had a scratch.

These protectors do not feel the same to me and they do little if anything to protect the screen in a drop.

I was using my iPhone 6 naked like you guys before but one sudden day it got long scratch on my screen and after that i dont like to use it much. After that incident i always protect my iPhone with spigen tempered glass screen protector and case. In my new iPhone 7 also i have ordered spgien cases and IQ Shiled screen protector.

That is great!

We all have choice.

I had my 6S+ get knocked out of my hand in a mall. The screen protector broke; the screen did not. No, I can't say what would have happened if I hadn't had a screen protector on it, but I'm glad I did.

The screen scratches ... who cares if it's the coating or the actual glass, the result is still the same. You will get micro-scratches even if they aren't noticeable in normal use. I had the Belkin Invisiglass Ultra fitted by Apple when I picked up my device.

i called belking they says coming soon

Hahaha. Here you go. Buy it today. I can't believe I actually had to post this link for you.

Notice how it says pick up today.
Belkin InvisiGlass Ultra Screen Protection for iPhone 7

And the drop down let's you select 7 or 7 plus.

Now if you want me to actually post the picture of it in my hand, I can do that as well. LMAO
