Got exactly the same problem.. Maybe a software update will fix the poor balance between the 2 speakers... still haven't found a solution yet...
And no my speaker id not obstructed. It s clean and like this since the first day...
Maybe I ll ask Apple to change my phone.

No issues here. Did you try adjusting the balance under Settings, General, Accessibility, Media?

I actually enjoy the stereo speakers on the 7plus. Love the fact the sound and bass I can feel on the top of the screen. Only thing is the bottom speaker only sounds comes out from the right side not left.

Yes but I use my headphones a lot and it unbalanced for headset (like with other connected device/sound system).
Other problem is that I can only have my iPhone in the same side if I do that, it will be good for one side and twice unbalanced in the other side..
Other related thing, everytime I answer a call the volume is freaking lound! It always reset my call colume sound.
I m on ios 10.0.2 btw.
But it feel more and more like an hardware issue...
Thanks for the answer anyway !

Try going up to 10.1.1 and see if that makes any improvements.

After a little while with the 7 Plus, I'm daily impressed by these speakers. So cool how they switch output to match the way you're holding the phone. Initially they sounded really pitchy, but I guess the speakers have worn in over the first few days. Now the bass is really strong and overall an impressive sound. I'l take the slight vibrations in the case any day if it means I get that sound.

Vibrations on my iPad Air 2 do not bother me.

The vibration on the Air 2 really isn't that noticeable unless the volume is near max. I typically have my volume at half and I notice very little vibration, which I have tested both with music and movies.

This is a very valid point; thanks for bringing it up.
When I am listening to music that may be a little more bass heavy, I do still feel some level of vibration from the iPad at lower volume levels ... but that is expected, and it does not bother me :)

The best stereo speaker phone I ever use. Far better than HTC One M8, Nexus 6, Huawei P9 Plus and all Sony dual speaker phone on market.
