The 6s is getting hard to find. Target and Sams have none.

Sams is currently offering the 7 with a $150 card that would cover a few payments. The are selling the 256g at the same price as the 128g. Got the 256, but have no idea what I am going to do with all that space.

Time to buy an 8 is next March or later. That's when they'll really be available and when the initial kinks have been worked out. Actually I'd wait until next summer. If you don't want to wait that long, get a 7 or 6S.

I sure hope its still a good buy because I just ordered one :)

I agree. I used to buy my phones at launch but now I wait a few months because many times the first batch have issues. I will most likely get the 8 around January or February.

Actually do both. Buy the 7 or 6s today on a 24 month payment and trade it in next June. Trade price is fixed and you get the new phone. Unless of course you find out the 7s/8 is really not worth the trade up.

Plus the Sim-FREE iPhone is the one you should be buying, and they don't release that one right away.

What is the advantage of getting the sim free version?

It's the Qualcomm version that can be used on all carriers. The Intel version only works with GSM carriers.

That was for the iPhone 7. They might keep this same strategy unless Intel can get CDMA bans on this next iteration.

I've had a 6s plus since it was released, and grown to hate it by the day. The real estate was great, but the price was too high for me. My hands are dinky, the phone felt heavy, and it was huge in my pockets, and even too big for some of my smaller purses.
I really thought I could hang on just a few more months for the iphone 8 release.... and then I followed a link I found on SD to Wallyworld for a iPhone 7 refurb 128gb locked to AT&T for $515. It showed sold out, but I kept clicking every color (everytime I thought of it) and a jet black popped up. Shipped and sold by WALMART. Free 2 day delivery
So I bought it. I save a few bucks picking it up at a tax free NH store. $509.85 out the door. Turned out to be brandy dandy new, with a "brand new" sticker right on it!! never touched, never even opened, and with the full year warranty from Apple. AT&T unlocked it in an hour. Didn't need it unlocked, but figured why not.
I love the jet black color, and I love how light and portable it is. And I'm so happy to be done with my 6s PLUS! It's a great paperweight.

So for me, with $250 off.... the 7 was a GREAT buy. I'm so happy with it I may just wait until wallyworld has the 8 on refurb

Went to Best Buy today they were selling Verizon Iphone 7 matte black 256GB for $649 on upgrade have to wait until next month to pay it off. Also added the monthly AppleCare plus for $7.99/month. Plugged it into iTunes and got the Congratulations your phone is unlocked. Worth it to me.

I got my 7 as a gift 2 months ago. It's an awesome device, probably my favorite iPhone since the original. I'm sure the 8 will be even more amazing, but the 7 remains terrific, and will for years to come.

That's another thing about the iPhone 7 I love... It absolutely has some of the best build quality of any iPhone.

It ranks right up there with the original, and the 4.

Water and dust proof make it a no Brainer.

There is no Applecare plus for $7.99 a month.
Applecare plus is $129 as a one time fee.
You bought another monthly insurance/warranty plan by best buy or your carrier probably.

If you are in the US I suggest you visit your local BestBuy. The SKU number is 4502000, only available now when you buy an IOS device at Best Buy. On Apple, my device shows the coverage, you really Shouldn't act like you know what you're talking about without checking your "facts"

Never heard of a monthly billed Apple AppleCare plus.
And the sku you provided doesn't come up on their site.
Is it a 3rd party insurance plan?

I wouldn't bother with the 8, because I think, although I would be really interested, it's going to cost an absolute fortune, looking at the Plus prices.
So I too would wait for the new phones and then grab last years models for less cost.

I haven't decided what I personally will do, have a 6S, I tried the 7 twice but didn't like it's camera as much. Maybe I'll look at the gigantic 7 Plus when it's cheaper? But it's so big. But I'd like a bigger screen...

You must add an Iphone to a cart for it to pop up. Googling shows this page. As I said it shows on Apple's my device page as active, it's not third party..

Thank you for the link.
Interesting.
So is that a $8 per month fee for as long as you want to keep it or $8 until you pay off the $129 Applecare Plus price?
Im surprised it hasn't came up before and nobody knew much about it.

It looks pretty new no details about if it's a full term or monthly, looks full term by my end date. My plan is to upgrade early next year so $650 new which is about swappa pricing used 256gb worked for me

It's not a good buy right now imo

Great phone but wrong time to get it new.

But do what you feel is best OP
Decided to wait for the launch of 7s and will buy that as soon as I am able to. It will be available about Mid Oct in India IMO, so 3 and a half months to go.

Till than I will stick with a cheap android phone.
