I've seen a surprising number of people upgrading from 6s/6s+ and I'm curious if there are many people upgrading on an annual basis.

Upgraded from the 6s+ I'm on Verizon's iPhone Forever plan so I get annual upgrades. What device are you coming from?

I still have my iPhone 6s Plus and planning to get iPhone 7 regular,no major reason for upgrade just want to check the 4.7 model how it feels( never owned before) and the new jet black color :)

I go from iPhone 6 128GB to iPhone 7+ 256GB
Son goes from iPhone 6+ 16GB to my old iPhone 6 128GB
Wife goes from iPhone 5 64GB to sons old iPhone 6+ 16GB (She uses the phone for the odd game, that's all, so wants the bigger screen)
Daughter still has iPhone 5S 16GB and uses it mostly for this new form of voice communication that I have never seen on mobile devices - she call it "phone calls".

Coming from 6s, I wasn't really planning on purchasing it unless I got the bigger size because of the dual lens and even then...I was wary of a larger phone for my small hands.

But I checked and they had a plus size Sunday, in both rose gold (my 6s color) and matte black in the GB i usually get (64, or 7's version of 64, 128).

Was in and out in less then 10 minutes.

Took it as a sign that it was meant to be.

I'm coming from a 6+. I wish we had an annual upgrade program out here, but at least used iPhones are fairly easy to sell.

If you're on Verizon I think you automatically get on the iPhone forever once you purchase a 7/7+ with their payment plans so you might be in luck! I found the resale values for me have dropped like crazy since most people are now just using payment plans through Apple or their carriers now but I'm glad it's still working fine for you :)

I'm in Singapore - so far none of the three carriers here offering such a service - if they did, I'd jump on it!

Strange that people from 6S or even 6 are upgrading especially if they don´t have one of those upgrade programs.

Upgraded from 6+. My wife and I have been upgrading on a two year cycle. Will now move to a one year cycle with Verizon.

Why is it strange?
Well its the , almost, same for factor and the 6s or 6 are still fantastic phones, I am upgrading from an iPhone 5 and It will be a major upgrade and I don't intend to upgrade again until either a new design , stunning , or my phone gets slow or breaks.

I actually notice a huge difference in speed from 6s. 6s is still fantastic, esp at its current price point but you're on a mac fan site ;) so I imagine it's no different from folks who've gotten an iPhone every year prior to this, like 5 and 5s.
