Well its the , almost, same for factor and the 6s or 6 are still fantastic phones, I am upgrading from an iPhone 5 and It will be a major upgrade and I don't intend to upgrade again until either a new design , stunning , or my phone gets slow or breaks.
We are updating so we can shuffle down phones to the wife and son. I plan on upgrading every 2 years once my contract ends, so in 2 years I'll upgrade again. It used to be every year back when they added decent things to each phone, but alas now that's not quite as common.

I'm picking-up my iPhone 7 this morning after about six years on Android.

I'm not sure if I'm going to like it (I've been asking a lot of questions recently and playing with other people's iPhones, and I think I'm going to find iOS quite obtrusive in some ways (pop-ups) and not obtrusive enough in others (lack of notification light).

I also don't think I'm going to like having such a common phone - it's quite nice having a phone that you don't see absolutely everywhere.

But I'm going to give it a good go as I just fancy a change. I've got 14 days...

Upgraded from the iPhone SE to the iPhone 7 4.7 for a work Phone. My Gold 5.5 iPhone 7 Plus is back ordered. Love the 4.7 iPhone. Very happy with it and how it performs.

I've seen a surprising number of people upgrading from 6s/6s+ and I'm curious if there are many people upgrading on an annual basis.
This is an Apple forum, not an average sampling of people. The results here will always be skewed due to the nature of those polled.

6s. I will actually save money on my bill by upgrading to a 7. The 6s has been my favorite phone by far. Kinda sad to be sending it back in lol

Was considering not upgrading, but then checked out the 7 and felt it was much snappier than my 6S. Once I figure out what I can sell my 6S for on the open market, as long as it is $350, I will upgrade to the 7. I'm in no rush and will probably wait a month so I can just walk in and buy the new phone. I thought about waiting a year, but I think this is one of the luxuries I'm going to give myself.

I am upgrading from 6S+ to 7+. Upgrading only because both I and my wife pass on our old phone's to extended family including my mom, her mom etc.

I just got my iPhone came from the s7 always have had android, I love this iPhone, I think you will love it to its so much More snappier, I do agree with you on the notification light but I can live without it

Strange that people from 6S or even 6 are upgrading especially if they don´t have one of those upgrade programs.

Not strange at all.

I'm not on an upgrade program (prefer just buying the device outright and not worrying about it) and I love getting the better performance/new features/etc every year. Who wants to use the same phone for 2 or more years?

Upgraded from 6s+ rose gold; I had to have the matte black ; hopefully we get new colours for the 10th anniversary next year:)

I Upgraded from a Silver 128 GB 6s+ to a Jet Black 128 GB 7+

Been upgrading yearly since day 1...always keep my phones in perfect condition and sell them to cover between 1/2 to 3/4 of the price of the new one.

I'm coming from a 64 gig silver 6 to a matte black 128 gig 7. I honestly didn't quite realize how long in the tooth my 6 was til I got this. I could've kept that thing til the wheels fell off TBH, but I wanted to take advantage of band 30 and 3xCA so I had the itch to upgrade. So far that's been worth it. This thing is blazing fast and at&t has 3xCA turned on here and I got 148 Mbps at rush hour.

That's my route of preference as well. I upgrade every year and sell my previous iPhone in Mint condition. I take good care of My iPhones. And iPhones have a solid resale value.

Not really upgrading...more like a backup. LOL

Samsung Galaxy Note 7

I haven't upgraded my iPhone6. Now I am using iPhone7.
Actually, the new iPhone doesn't attractive me a lot. No feeling of "WOW". A little bit disappointed.
Let's see iPhone8.

Actually, it's a really good phone and iOS is tonnes better than it was. But I miss the notification light and have missed several emails/texts already. And iOS is much buggier than Android.

But it's good, so I'll be keeping the iPhone 7. Seeing the leaks for the Google Pixel phones, they looked a bit nothing.
