Not a good sign for iPhone 8.

Foxconn production resources are obviously focused on iPhone X, yet iPhone 8 availability is still so good. It's unlikely Apple has stocked a lot of iPhone 8 units yet shipping estimates are only 1-2 weeks.

I don't expect Apple to be parading the iPhone 8 launch anytime soon.

Will be Getting iPhone X. Sad!! we are still more than one month away from pre-order.

Makes you wonder why they're delaying preorders until 27 October yet saying that there will be a 3 November ship date. Hardly anybody's going to get their iPhone X on 3 November, so why keep preorders closed for so long?

haha I love the 4S but the battery is about gone. Plus, I got the 64GB and I am just now filling up most of the storage. I have been debating getting the X and joining everyone in 2018! :)
It may be time to replace your T-Ford also. There's a few more colors now.

Is anyone actually able to get through to the store at 12:01AM PST? I was refreshing since 11:59, on my MacBook, iPhone, and iPad, and I was only able to get through on my iPhone via the Apple Store app around 12:03 AM.

It's like this every year for me.

I honestly think they're trying to build up inventory. The X will be a monster. Everyone I know who's upgrading, myself included, is waiting for it. It's a more complex device to manufacture and there were fabrication holdups, so I think the later dates will allow Apple to at least debut the device with a minimum acceptable number of units ready to ship.

I just checked all carrier stock. It still says 22nd... not sure if this article is jumping the gun.

Only one that has slipped is the sim free one. It say 1-2 weeks for that.

256 GB Gray 8+ and 42 mm SS SB Sport through ATT @ 0415 EST, no prob and deliv is 9/22. We'll see. Web site was slow, but didn't crash this time. Only hang up was monthly fee for adding wtach to plan was shown as $40, not $10. Chat said that this is adjusted under device setup. We'll see. If not, back it goes.

Apple supply chain is stong, good job! They have been getting better at order fulfillment each year, I expect iPhone X to be easy to preorder as well. Demand is huge, but Apple has gauged it appropriately.
Yes absolutely it could be that and given it's the basically the same iPhone design 4 times in a row, so it should be. Or it could simply be that the demand isn't there. You don't know.

8 Plus to hold me over until the X comes out.

The 8 Plus is getting returned. No money bags over here...

Let me get this straight:

You are buying an 8 Plus, with the intention of returning it, just so you can play with a phone for two weeks?

It's stupid **** like this which kills generous return policies for the rest of us consumers

I hear you; however, It's the poster's choice to do whatever and we can't say anything about that but form an opinion about this person.

I wonder how many people paid no attention and rushed to order their iPhone X at midnight.
Lmao

Basically why restocking fees are a thing. Kinda reminds me of the folks who go to Best Buy and get a badass TV for the superbowl and then return said TV the following day

i stilll dont understand why apple have to get rid of 128gb.. so that we all have 3 choices to make.. besides 128gb for the price of 800+ would be a fair price rather than jumping to 256gb for the price $1000 plus

All I wanted was the 128. I’ve done 256. Had 130 gigs free and that was having to find crap to put on there

That's just when the first phones ship. It has no basis on the amount of phones shipping.

It does seem a shame to buy it for 2 weeks with all intentions to return it. When it could have went to someone who actually wanted it...

The 256GB Space Grey 8+ has slipped to 1-2 weeks here in Denmark. The rest are still fine. Good thing I got my order in. I'll be getting it on the 22nd.
