That's just when the first phones ship. It has no basis on the amount of phones shipping.

Some of us will get them on 11/3 and some will be pushed back to thanksgiving/early December within minutes.

I think if you don’t order within 2 -3 minutes of the site your on opening, you’ll be waiting a while

All I wanted was the 128. I’ve done 256. Had 130 gigs free and that was having to find crap to put on there

i have an iphone 7 plus 128gb been using it for almost a year now... i have alot of apps, videos, music, photos, notes that are useless just to make it close to 128gb but so far im not even close.. 64gb will not be enough & 256gb its just wawwwaaaayyyy to much!!!

Quick question. The Sim free model is CDMA compatible?

I have att. But I'm gonna go pay full price. I want the universal unlocked model with the Qualcomm chip. I'm trying to order from my current iPhone but Apple Store app is trying to force me to buy att model or sim free.

I want the Verizon model since its cdma and gsm.

So is the sim free model cdma compatible?

I sat waiting... When the time came, Apple.com would not load and still said "We are updating a few things...".. Had my iPhone 7 ready , opened the Apple Store App and ordered my AW3 within seconds... However, Apples website did not finally load until 8 minutes after the fact... ATT's website was not loading properly on the app or their website....
FYI: Seems as though only carriers are allowing pre-orders on the Sports Model only....
If you are going to get SS then I would order from Apple....There are no options for leasing the SS model (For purchase only) from what I have seen and researched....

Makes you wonder why they're delaying preorders until 27 October yet saying that there will be a 3 November ship date. Hardly anybody's going to get their iPhone X on 3 November, so why keep preorders closed for so long?
Because they will have a better idea of production output by then. Don't want to go from launch day shipping to 8 weeks run a few minutes or longer. This lets them built up some stock and work out more bugs in manufacturing. Plus this will give them a better idea of demand with how many iPhone 8 are sold. More iPhone 8s sold mean less iPhone X will be wanted. Less iPhone 8 sold mean more people are willing to shell out more $ for iPhone X. Also effects impulse buys. If they ran out of iPhone X right now then that person may buy an iPhone 8 if they could get it now.

I'm still able to get a iPhone 8 Plus Space Grey 256GB unlocked for in store pick on the 22nd. Sep 25 - Oct 2 if shipped 5:29 am EST USA

Wow, as of 5:25 AM EST, all AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon models of the 8 Plus are still available for launch day. This sounds like the real preorder war will be for the iPhone X.

Is anyone actually able to get through to the store at 12:01AM PST? I was refreshing since 11:59, on my MacBook, iPhone, and iPad, and I was only able to get through on my iPhone via the Apple Store app around 12:03 AM.

It's like this every year for me.
Your not alone... The website never loaded, I had to use the App... When Apple Watch 1's pre-orders went down, I almost missed the boat trying to order via the website, I barely got in by ordering on my phone.. when apples website loaded, pre-orders had slipped to weeks.. Good thing The Apple Store app is a good back up!!! Will only order using the app from now on!

Yes, per Apple’s own product page:
“SIM-free” means your iPhone doesn’t ship with a carrier SIM card. The SIM-free iPhone sold on apple.com and at the Apple Store is unlocked. That means you’re free to use a SIM card from any carrier that provides service for iPhone.

Let me get this straight:

You are buying an 8 Plus, with the intention of returning it, just so you can play with a phone for two weeks?

It's stupid **** like this which kills generous return policies for the rest of us consumers

This is why we can't have nice things

Still managed to get a sim free iPhone 8 Plus 64GB Space Grey with in-store pickup on the 22nd at 4:40 am Central.

So you did go over 128 GB. You really did need 256 GB. Crap or not, people tend to use up the storage they have. Mostly with crap though.

I ordered my SS with LTE with white sports band within 4 mins of the store opening, order confirmation can through at 8.04. Shipping had already slipped to 2-3 weeks. I guess that was the only option for anyone that wanted to upgrade and wanted a silver  watch, as I already have a number or bands and did not want to pay any extra. Oh well not the end of world, by S0 SS will keep me going until the new one arrives.

My 256 SG 8+ is scheduled for in store pick up next Friday 9/22.

Unlocked iPhone 8+ 256 gb grey delivery 25-oct2 or in store pickup on the 22nd as of 4:09 am
This was roughly the same info I had. So I just chose apple store pick up

I just read that the 8s and X won't work on Tmobile's growing 600 Mhz Band 71 network. Of course they will work on their current older network.

256gb iPhone 8 space gray to NY still Sept 22 pickup or delivery (my choice) at 6am ET. AT&T existing carrier phone replacement through the Apple Store app.

The pre-order for the X model will be EPIC. Dont expect to puts your hands on one of these before 2018.
Maybe you are right, but I wouldn't bet on it. Here in Europe you would have to shell out a whopping 1,189 euros for the base model without AppleCare to a cool 1,588 euros for the top model with AppleCare. Before the keynote I thought there would be no way to get one before Christmas, while now I'm pretty sure I'll get mine within the first week of November.

I hope so...I’m in the US and would love it the first week of November lol

Same exact for silver at 6:13 (wife's phone).

Yes. The Sim Free model is the "world phone" model and identical to what VZW users get sans the Sim.
