I wouldn't need the iPhone 8 to be bezelless. I actually prefer somewhat of a bezel for grip and prevent inadvertently touching the display.

Looks about the same size bezels on top and bottom as the galaxy s8. Looks good to me.

I'd be more inclined to believe if it weren't a white guy that posted the photo.

The displays are being manufactured by Samsung and passed to Foxconn, Flextronics, Jabil for assembly.

OLED factory is in Korea. Integration and assembly is performed in China. Which country is this white guy working where he would be able to intercept Apple component shipments?

It's an assembled display module, not a complete phone. And it wouldn't make any sense for Apple to ship completed phones in pallets.

The likelihood of a white guy performing outbound cargo shipping work in an Asian country? Laughable. iPhone components are manufactured all over China, Taiwan, and Korea. The chances of one guy seeing "displays, chips, flexes, cases" at one shipping company are again, laughable.

I saw these floating around and I think they are either the 7S or clones. I'm still holding out for the design that has been rumored. It's going to be an interesting wait until September.

Out of all of the many rumours surrounding the iPhone X, this one I really do not believe.

If this device turns out to be the one released, then a number of Apple employees must've screwed up badly as I can't see this design being better than 4th choice from the original prototypes developed.

My speculation:

1st choice - Bezel-less with under screen Touch ID (possibly now de-prioritised barring last minute breakthrough in time for production)

2nd choice - Bezel-less with 3D Facial recognition (the lead - but potentially facing tech challenges of its own)

3rd choice - Bezel-less with TouchID on the back

4th choice - this one, Bezels and TouchID on the back.

There will be bottom bezel. Why the mi mix or essential phone have it - doesn't make sense to have it if they can do without? That's where the screen controller is located.

The Mi Mix has it because of the camera, they were able to remove the top part (speaker) because of a new tech with induction, but still needed the lower for the camera.

They will remove it in the Mi Mix 2 by having a camera that slides from the back.

Mi mix 2 bezel is bigger than C6 / S8. There is a lot of space between the camera to the screen. Suspect this area is for the screen controller part. Most of current edgeless is at most on 3 side like mi mix 2/sharp/essential but with one big bezel to accomodate the camera+sensors and the screen controller. Or the other option is 2 side edgeless like C6 / S8 - small top bezel for camera/sensor and small bottom bezel for the screen controller.

I suspect the final design of iphone 8 will be closer to the image in the OP .

Like you said, it hasnt been released, how do you know it will be all sides egdeless screen like above?

Last I seen was sharp shown such 4-side edgeless screen but not in mass production yet.

I can handle no Touch ID in screen - facial/retinal recognition looks promising.

But if the full screen goes, then it'll be a big let-down.

The most reliable Apple analyst in the world Ming-Chi Kuo has stated on record the iPhone X will have a display with a notch design.

No way I'm believing a random photo over Kuo.
