The most reliable Apple analyst in the world Ming-Chi Kuo has stated on record the iPhone X will have a display with a notch design.

No way I'm believing a random photo over Kuo.

This, every year there are lots of fake reports about the next iPhone, i don't believe this for a moment, a lot of people have now said that the next iPhone's will not have the finger print sensor on the back, the only ones that do are the clones and fakes floating about. This report about the facial recognition is interesting tho, i'm looking forward to seeing what Apple announce in September, as for the bezels they will probably be reduced rather than removed all together.

There will be bottom bezel. Why the mi mix or essential phone have it - doesn't make sense to have it if they can do without? That's where the screen controller is located.

We'll see when it is launched, but one thing's for sure, if it does have bezels (excluding the small cutout at the top) it will not have been Apple's first choice design.

It'll mean something went awry and they've chosen to compromise for a September 2017 launch.

Doesn't answer my question as to why though. What makes them ugly to you?

I don't believe these will resemble any device that Apple will release and I personally think they look cheap, plasticky (sp) and dated.

The look of the render with the cutout is far more slick in my opinion and much more what I would expect from an Apple flagship device.

If that actually is going to be an iPhone, then it would look something like this:

It's definitely not as terrible as people make it out to be. It's much better than having those huge useless bezels we have on the current iPhones.

In pictures that are not rendered like that, it looks wider, side bezels are slightly bigger, and overall shape is not as round/aesthetically pleasing. Put simply, it looks uglier.

Huh. I just don't get it.

Everyone has different aesthetic tastes though.

Yeah, preferences. I'm not saying I wouldn't buy it (only in black, this one looks especially ugly in white), but definitely would be a big step down from the other leaked design.

Side note, this design appears to be what they maybe wanted to do with the iPhone 7, but weren't able to at the time. The full edge to edge screen may be the iPhone Edition/OLED design.

People actually think those are genuine iPhones? It's so blantantly not an iPhone. First thing that tells you that is that the camera on these is on the right side, instead of the left. Apple's design has the camera on the left, and there is no chance they would switch it to the right. Why? Because they specifically want as much room for the rear camera module inside the device as they can get. The front-facing sensor is on the left side of the earpiece for this reason. As in the Plus model with its horizontal dual camera module, there is no chance that the front facing camera could be placed on the same side as it.

This is simple debunking from logical thinking. We only have to examine and think about things to conclude with a reasonable confidence that they are or are not likely to be true. This, is not an iPhone.

There are 3, 2017 iPhones:

•iPhone 7s: looks virtually identical to iPhone 7, except it has a glass back and the camera cutout is a separate entity once more (unfortunately), due to this fact.

•iPhone 7s Plus: as above, looks virtually indentical except for the glass back and separate camera.

•iPhone Beyond (placeholder name): near-bezeless face which only comes with a black bezel. There is a cutout at the top and on either side there will be placed new UI elements and new API for developer inclusions. The top will be a black bar always. The bottom will have a symmetrical black bar to the top black bar. This bottom bar will be the Home Bar wherein the Home Button functionality is augmented with dynamic controls. The bottom bar will be black perpetually.

Here is basically what it will look like, but the top and bottom bars will have content in them obviously.
