I highly doubt they would do this. If you start placing status indicators in those corners they will become exceedingly congested. Also, if you start eliminating status symbols then there's no reason for a status bar in the first place. I believe it will all remain in a single line directly under the cutout. New elements will take the corners.

Apple is acting like Melania when "releasing" all the new iPhone features taken from Android, who's been more original the last 4-5 years. However, Apple has been original regarding the iPad.
 
The clock will be in the status bar. They will just get rid of info that isn't useful - the carrier name. So cell signal, battery indicator, wifi, bluetooth and the clock.
