Sprint is having a "sale" on the iPhone 8's. I went shopping for a new cell plan. Sprint offered me one with the same benefits as my old plan, plus 10GB of hotspot per month for less money. Catch was you have to upgrade your iPhone. Went from iPhone 6's to an iPhone 8 Plus for me, and an iPhone 6 for both my wife and stepson. Even with the new phones the plan was cheaper than what I had before!

For me, the iPhone 8 Plus is a great improvement. Much more comfortable in my hand than the 6, faster, more storage and better screen. I had loaded iOS 11 on my 6 and it slowed down a lot.

I'm not going to bite either. I couldn't be happier with my 6S.

6S is still a great phone. And performs well. I still own mind and I don't have any complaints. And it includes a headphone jack.
