Discrete and accurate. There’s no room for smart phones right now given the economy/recession that’s already been initiated, consumers are doing exactly what they need to, which is conservation of their financials and re-prioritizing how they spend their money. Apple could release this phone tomorrow or in the middle of June, it won’t have an impact either way for the overall success, because of how the economy is reflecting that the tech market will decline for 2020.
Based on what you said here, when do you think the 9 would most likely be released?

If the iPhone 9 doesn’t release within the next two weeks (Maybe 3 weeks), Then I’d say it’s a greater chance Apple may be holding out until WWDC at the next opportunity, Given that event will be all digital this year due to the pandemic.

All the manufacturer has to do is slap a label on their existing iPhone 8/7/6s cases. It's not indicative of much.
But isn't iPhone 9 supposed to be thicker? Then iphone 8 cases will not fit quite perfectly?

which website said it will be thicker?

if it will be because of the battery then that's great

when the SE was released it had a greater battery life than the 6S and some extent 6S Plus, that with the latest processor and the price made it one of the best selling iPhones that time.

"OnLeaks, a well-known leaker who has shared accurate renderings of iPhones in the past, recently shared a render of the "iPhone SE 2." The device looks similar to an iPhone 8, though OnLeaks believes it will be 0.5mm thicker, measuring in at 7.8mm thick. Height and width (138.55mm x 67.4mm) are expected to be identical to the iPhone 8."

0,5mm thicker which sounds like not much but its quite significant

nice.

the battery might get bigger too not only because that, which making thicker also because it will lack the 3d touch so that will give it more space for the battery

with the latest processor combined this might make it longer lasting the iPhone 11 series

Seems like we’ll have an answer soon:

Single piece cases are designed with a lot of tolerance. They're been designed to accommodate thick and thin screen protectors. A 0.5mm increase in thickness won't make a maufacturer think twice about relabeling their old products. Look at the number of iPhone X cases that were suddenly compatible with iPhone Xs even though the camera bump was bigger.

-Will be announced on 4/15
-Shipments on 4/22
-Dates subject to change due to pandemic

Hoping this also includes the 9+ 😁

The dates make sense. There is no way Apple would delay until a summer or fall launch. The longer the product is in a holding pattern, the browner the banana. Besides, it's not as if every single country is expected to be in recession.

Plus, the iPhone 9 is precisely the type of phone release that caters to those who have more limited budgets.

Personally though, I'm interested in the 5G 6 GB flagships. Here's hoping they aren't too late. I'd be good with a October-November iPhone 12 5G release, and a November-December iPad Pro 5G release.

Likely it will be the standard lens from the 11. They won’t want a poor quality camera when the 12 is likely going to get another update to the camera which would just make it look dated further.

But until it’s released, it could still be the 8 camera it gets.

this. Don’t forget original SE had the same camera as the 6S (not the 6S+) so a single lens camera from the 11 series is very likely

I just thought of something: Isn’t it going to look weird when the cheaper 9 Plus has a better resolution than the pricier 11? (401 PPI vs 326 PPI).

I hope they don’t downgrade the ppi on the 9 Plus just to make the 11 look better

But it will have a huge impact on AAPL stock price and the already declining shareholder satisfaction. A release in April could save them Q2. Moreover, they're about to release a phone that directly reflects the needs of the upcoming recession: no bling bling, just the essentials. It will be a hit, in my humble opinion.

I 100% agree. I'm actually in a job that will probably only increase demand in this new strange world, but when I look at my phone, an iPhone 6s+... and all I want is more memory, a better camera and waterproofing. A lot of things I thought I would use a phone for I simply didn't. watching videos? Please. I have a computer and iPad for that. Games? I have a switch and a PS4. I like the feel of the smaller phone in my hand, and when I think about essentials, a new phone at a reasonable rate sounds right. I don't do payment plans, so $400-$450 sounds about perfect to me.

biggest question for me about this phone, and no rumors address it. Hoping for main camera from the 11, as the SE shared the same camera as the 6s. If it’s the same as on the 8, id lose interest.

Looking forward to the iphone 9, but doubt there will be a 9+ Version as this will most likely eat into iphone 11 sales.
