But you don't hafta visit a link?
Apple and their close ways
why do activation like this?
on a freaking windows phone you swap the sim card and tada
the **** is up and running in less then 10 seconds.
I am so pissed and i cant blame att because their sim is working onm y curve
is the iphones apples fault-Steve suck a fat one you greedy basterd.
on a seperate note, what does slide for emergency do? does it call 911?
I don't fault there being an unforeseen problem with activation on this scale. But what I do fault Apple and AT&T for is not issuing some news about the whole thing. They should have issued, at least on the web, an item that they are aware there is a problem, that they are working on it, and that resolution can be expected in [x] hours/days/weeks. At least an acknowledgment would make me feel a lot better and more patient. And... I bet it would relieve the AT&T support line of thousands of calls that they can't do anything about right now.
Does anyone have any idea what these "magic emails" look like?
I'm an existing Cingular customer with Family plan, trying to change phones. I've got the "AT&T is now processing your activation" email from iTunes last night, and just got an email from AT&T 1/2 hour ago "Information about your AT&T plan" with links to AT&T manage your account (but account has nothing about the iPhone)...
Spoke with several customer service reps, no one seems to have any idea what's going on-- the last person I spoke to said "our servers are delayed and we can't give you an estimate as to when it will be activated".
Thanks!
rob.
Based on the info we received from AT&T when we called, I'm trying to determing the common link between the activation problems.
I started a poll to try to see if we can pinpoint the problem(s).
Has anyone that bought a phone today had any problems activating it? I was thinking of getting one today if the problem are only for people that tried it last night...
