Article about the box - seriously? When is the article about the film on the screen that needs to be removed?

I always sell my "old" iPhones inside the original box.
I only kept the original box from the first generation iPod touch, that was my first iPhone without the Phone ;-)
I love the Air box. Did we ever have a box with an iPhone shown like this? (like a macbook (air)) ?

WOW!!! Boxes! That's innovative! Who would think that we'd get a box too???

Seriously, the whole purpose of talking about Apple products as rumors/innovation has disappeared. People celebrate the reintroduction of HDMI ports on Macs; the fact that we now have USB-C, that the watch has now almost 24 hours of battery (mine, a non-Apple gets 1 week with the GPS on). Real innovation has not happened in a long time. I continue to use Apple products (except for the watch), but I'll keep my iPhone 13 Pro with 1Gb for a little longer because I see nothing, nothing that makes me want to upgrade.

Are you the type of person who collects Apple boxes, or do you get rid of them right away?
Yeeeess!! I still have all iPhone boxes. Boxes from 6 and 6 plus were ugliest ever - no phone picture at all.

Glad they have included fine art for every phone this year

With the camera bump the Air is as thick as the regular 17 (difference is less than a tenth of a millimeter), so a thinner box seems unlikely if as usual the iPhone sits screen-down and bump-up in the box.
Yeah that’s a fair point…but still, it’s mostly air and paper in there…they couldn’t make it a little thinner, just for marketing sake, shelf appeal? Tucking in the USB cable under the plateau could maybe save a couple mm. I’m no packaging engineer, but not even a little? 🤏🏻

They want you to see the phone with the Apple logo when you open the box, so I doubt they’ll place the cable on top. They also want to protect the screen so need some space underneath it. I think they already try to minimize the thickness because that reduces shipping cost (more iPhones fit into a container), so there may not be a lot of wiggle room. Maybe a tiny bit thinner.

Wow what a nice box. I dont know much about boxes but I’m impressed by those boxes. Best boxes I’ve ever saw.

Neither phone is worth anything (the 11 has a cracked screen and the 6S is, well, a 6S) so I won't be selling them; eventually just handing them over for recycling.
Why don't you take it apart and display it (the ikea frame is perfect for that)? I did that with some old iPod Touch, looks good enough for me for a diy.
You’d be surprised to learn how many people go crazy over stuff like this. Especially on here.
Just like with colors. Others were doing orange for many many years, but until Apple were making one, it was an ugly, kiddie, toy like color. Now it's the most beautiful color Apple ever released. 😆

I usually keep them for a year - with cables etc. untouched to sell off my phone when the new one comes out.
For the first time ever, I'll keep my iPhone16ProMax Box for two years.

iPhone 6 had the prettiest box of all-time and this has not changed this year. Having said that, the Air's box in line with the MBA and iPad Air boxes is a nice touch!

right now I still have all of my boxes for the phones I have, some are missing the cables, and the headphones, I think some are missing the charger, I still have the phones and there box.

Well, then THIS oughta get everyone worked up.

I don't get it but to each their own. These could be the next GRID item.

I get rid of mine when I get a new device otherwise I feel like a hoarder. That's right...I ruthlessly tear them apart and throw (not gently place) into the recycle bin.

You may be on to something, though. They may become collectible. Won't be surprised if the boxes go the way of the chargers & cables someday to drive up profits even higher.

Even though I didn't really want to buy phones from Chinese companies, up until the Z Fold 7 they had superior hardware when it came to foldables. The one nice thing about it though, was that they still include an 80w fast charging brick (and 6ft cable) and a case...in the box. I miss the days when Apple, Google, and Samsung did the same. Oh, and they actually put a screen protector on both the inner and outer display as well. It boggles the mind how Google and Samsung are too cheap to put a screen protector on the outer display of their foldables, just to save 15 cents.

That orange is beautiful, wow!!

And it’ll sell like crazy I bet!
Yes, absolutely. I am just waiting for someone to walk up to me and scream how hideous my orange phone looks. 🤣 oh wait, the sane people are the ones that go outside while the other hide inside and complain about everything on the interwebs.

It’s so funny. I always used red leather cases until I got the california poppy leather case that is on my 12 mini right now. They are fun colors. No one ever hated on them.

Where have you seen this?
It’s just 3d prints in fake boxes. Apples review embargo should fall within this week, before the release. that’s when all the official stuff will drop. From one minute to another all your tech influencers will release their review. 😀

Apparently that color is going to be popular this year judging by how many people disagreed with your comment. Smdh. Although MR is not a great sample of potential buyers, so there’s that. Still can’t believe they dropped the black/slate/space gray option for that loud color.

I really only keep my boxes for when I eventually sell it when upgrading. I usually keep the new power cable in the box as well so the person buying it has somewhat of a complete experience when getting it used. In my head, it adds value to the whole purchase, but most people don’t really care lol

I only keep the box to transport the phone back to the apple store for trade in. After that, it goes to recycling.
