Yes and how much if you include the bezels beteeen XR’s screen and the frame 😀The Air (74.7 mm) is 1 mm narrower than the iPhone XR/11 (75.7 mm).

as honest as that simile is (and it is !), in likewise full acknowledgement that this thread is an appreciation thread, i can point put that in the Japanese market, delivery of the base configuration in white of the iPhone Air now has an anticipated arrival date as late as October 2 for some areas, if you purchase it today. It's like rehab with the cutest woman of the bunch.
To be fair most of the others are to create hate about the Air and point out it’s supposed flaws.OP:
never in my life have I seen so many posts about an iPhone that’s not even been released in people’s hands yet.
Also OP: creates a whole new thread about an iPhone that's not been released

If - as your signature suggests - your current phone is iPhone 13, and that device copes with your hard pushing, it's almost guaranteed the Air will be just fine for you.I’ll be waiting to see how it performs under load. The entire innards of the device are contained within the camera module so let’s see how well the Air dissipates heat given that it’s driven by the flagship A19 Pro.
I’ll be pushing the phone hard so that’s a major factor for me.
I plan on playing console level AAA games on the device which will cause heat issues. I have to wait until the reviews are out before pulling the trigger. If the phone isn’t practical for my use case, I’ll just have to go with the 17 Pro.If - as your signature suggests - your current phone is iPhone 13, and that device copes with your hard pushing, it's almost guaranteed the Air will be just fine for you.
Ah I see. And guessing you don't play those games on your 13?I plan on playing console level AAA games on the device which will cause heat issues. I have to wait until the reviews are out before pulling the trigger. If the phone isn’t practical for my use case, I’ll just have to go with the 17 Pro.
No, they are only available on the 15 Pro and above. I am talking about games such as Assassins Creed, Death Stranding, Resident Evil, etc… these are mainline console titles and not mobile games.Ah I see. And guessing you don't play those games on your 13?
Ooh yeah. Be very interested to see if the Air's thermals could cope with that! My gut says no, you'd probably need the Pro and its vapour chamber. No, they are only available on the 15 Pro and above. Yep. It’s a new design, we’ve never seen an SoC within the camera module of a phone before. I would be surprised if the Air could handle prolonged periods of gaming. I’d still consider purchasing it if I were able to play for around 30 minutes without any throttling.Ooh yeah. Be very interested to see if the Air's thermals could cope with that! It's honestly a breath of fresh air. I always want to go base iPhone model but there are so many compromises in screen, and performance. This phone has a bigger screen 48mp camera, is thin and gorgeous. It's also not orange 🍊the cyber truck of phones. It also just has a name and not a number which makes it 337% cooleras honest as that simile is (and it is !), in likewise full acknowledgement that this thread is an appreciation thread, i can point put that in the Japanese market, delivery of the base configuration in white of the iPhone Air now has an anticipated arrival date as late as October 2 for some areas, if you purchase it today.

I’m not even buying one, but I’m giddy to visit the Apple Store to check it out! These are exciting time indeed. It should be a fun weekend for those getting their hands on the new iPhone Air.
Yeah I never understood the idea that heavy means premium. I ordered the Pro Max but I’d be thrilled if it had the look and feel of the Air…or even the iPhone 6 which literally floated off my desk one day. Okay, not literally. 🤭I share some of those concerns but I’m remaining optimistic. I’m just happy that Apple is trying something different with the Air. A 6.5” screen that is less than 6 ounces is what intrigues me the most. People who like the heavy devices because they feel “premium” got the Pro/Pro Max models, for those who like lighter devices we now get something.
People like me? I haven't said a single negative thing about the Air. In fact I said in several threads that I was strongly considering it to replace my 16PM.... so please explain why "people like me" are why these posts exist?People like you are why threads like this exist.
