Coming from a 16PM, the air is an absolute joy to use in terms of weight, form factor and hand feel.
To me, this is a return to ‘classic’ apple design.
In fact I think it’s the future as well in terms of a potential folding model.
It may sound a little bit conspiratorial, but I personally think that the reason Apple did not offer the pro/pro max line in black this year, and they did with the air, even though it is historically the most popular colour, is to push people towards the air to get them used to the feel of it.
Essentially, they are testing the waters to see how the form factor is going to be received should the current air model prove to be one half of a foldable iPhone as rumours have suggested.

I am very very tempted to buy this. It’s really nice. In 5 years when this design trickles down it will be amazing to buy a 23 series iPhone and it is this thin. At least that’s my hope being a first gen MacBook Air using in 2008, and how much the product evolved to my 15 inch MacBook Air with insane battery life.
So my battery usage so far… 14 hours of heavy usage,

Day 3 87%
