Not a heavy user, mostly looking stuff up, reddit, video reels, been stuck into a web novel which is where the high screen time is coming from. Comfortably gets through my typical day.
Coming from a 16PM, the air is an absolute joy to use in terms of weight, form factor and hand feel.
To me, this is a return to ‘classic’ apple design.
In fact I think it’s the future as well in terms of a potential folding model.
It may sound a little bit conspiratorial, but I personally think that the reason Apple did not offer the pro/pro max line in black this year, and they did with the air, even though it is historically the most popular colour, is to push people towards the air to get them used to the feel of it.
Essentially, they are testing the waters to see how the form factor is going to be received should the current air model prove to be one half of a foldable iPhone as rumours have suggested.

I am very very tempted to buy this. It’s really nice. In 5 years when this design trickles down it will be amazing to buy a 23 series iPhone and it is this thin. At least that’s my hope being a first gen MacBook Air using in 2008, and how much the product evolved to my 15 inch MacBook Air with insane battery life.

My wife got the Air on release day. Also the bumper and crossbody. She upgraded from the 16 Pro Max which is ridiculous for most people, as most don’t use the features. She loves the Air. Will be returning the crossbody strap. She said it looks like a dog leash. She hopes they come out with a wristlet. I’m getting the Air when my contract is up. I’m a former mini user. Loved the mini but needed a bigger screen. The Air gives me that.

4th day of Air use - 2nd day of work day use: 65% battery remaining at the end of the evening.
Thinking if I can go another day or need to charge overnight like I usually did with the 16 Pro that would hit under 40%.....

Thanks for this. Im surprised there hasn't been more camera comparisons between the air, pro and standard 17. So far Ive been impressed with camera on the air. The front facing camera was a huge upgrade for sure.
