I connect the Battery Pack and then tap on low power mode from control center, and then tap on charge pass 90%. It then charges the battery to 100%. I have 2 iPhone Airs that I do this with daily. I know what is happening and don't need a forum member telling me it is impossible.
You are missing the point. Sure you can charge from 90% to 100%.

The point is the actual external magsafe battery is (from a capacity standpoint) sized the same as the internal one. The exchange of power from the magsafe battery to the internal one isn't perfect, there are losses, so it's impossible for the external magsafe battery to charge the internal battery from empty (0%) to full (100%). Physics don't allow it to happen.

I understand that. I wasn't confused. The original member I responded to said that the pack can't charge to 100%. He did not elaborate and I didn't assume things (or insert meaning into his original post that was not stated) as you and some others have. I responded to what was stated. Nothing more and nothing less. I don't wish to argue over something so obvious and silly.

yeah but what's the point. it's pretty clear charging to 100% means getting a full charge out of it. Most any battery pack will charge my phone to 100% if I start at 99%, so there!

Wait until you hear people claiming their car is a $10 fill up, because they top it up every 50 miles! 😄

I have a battery case that can charge my iPhone 11 up to 3x its capacity.
Apple needs to make cheaper phones that are not downgrades from older models, not more expensive ones while removing features.
Getting tired of waiting for an appropriate update within budget pricing (that's less than 700).

At this price, you should get two of them. You'll need them. 😉

(I am only kidding - I haven't felt the need to upgrade my iPhone 15 Pro yet but to me at least, this is the most interesting phone in the current line-up)

I've had teh iPhone Air since day 1 and can say with all day use, including streaming tv live for 1 hour, I still have more than 50% at the end of each day. There's no issue with the Air's battery. Anyone who says otherwise is just hating!

Love this real world feedback. The only reason I haven't pulled the trigger on this from my iPhone 15 Pro is that I think I'd miss the cameras too much. I don't think I would worry too much about battery because ever since i've started to need reading glasses, my phone use has fallen off.

I've seen a few Airs pop up on Marketplace - I might give it a whirl.

I bought this because of all the exaggeration of the “poor” Air battery life. Yeah, I’ve never even come close to needing it. BUT it’s good to have, just in case.
I was fully expecting to need one of these with my Air, but the phone has never failed to make it through a day with leftover battery. I now only charge the phone to 85%.

I'm still considering picking one of these up as a "nice to have," but I'm frankly blown away by how long the Air batter lasts.

Good price. Would have considered buying it if it were compatible with other iPhones. Too bad it is limited to only one iPhone.

If only they made this for other models as well. Really a stupid decision by Apple.
Im still using the original that I bought alongside my iPhone 13 Pro when new. There are also a few other brands that make similar size ones that fit other models.

Yes its been completely blown out of proportion. Its a very nice phone, the main issue was/is its RRP price of £999.

I had one and returned it. It doesn’t stay aligned as well as I expected and just adds to the slipperiness of the air. It’s like Apple designs this stuff for a gallery and not the real world
i returned mine as well besides not staying on well it was very heavy. sigh

Same. I love my Air and I bought one of these originally back when my son started baseball season thinking I would need it for the long days outside for his double-headers.

The Air has a ridiculously good battery and I ended up returning it because I never needed it. The lowest I ever got down to was 30% and this was streaming several hours of video outside in between innings. People get so hung up on "specs" instead of real-world usage that the battery issue was non-existent for me. Heck, it lasts longer than the 15PM I had.
now i'm wondering if something is wrong with mine because I could never get that kind of use and i Have the always on turned off and other battery saving features. Hmm
