Hi guys. Been Eye balling this thread for a few weeks. Decided to register and share. Im from Thailand. My phone will have random rattles or cracks if I go over 50 percent. But its like someone said. Its only certain frequencies. Some people's voices on youtube wont rattle at all even on 100%. Some will start rattling at 80% some even at 50! but if I stay below 50 none. So hopefully they can tune out whatever hertz it is in the future.

For Reference mine is also a LG GVC Panel.

Apple needs to really look into this, because either their supplier is doing uneven products or its all units and some people cant hear the crackle.

I love the phone I can learn to live with it.... But for 1000 bucks they need to fix it

exact same issues here, yeah i agree, its a great phone and im keeping it, but hope they put out a fix!

This doesn't seem to be related to the panel. I've been able to test 2 Airs closely side-by-side across a bunch of different sounds (music, voicemails, videos, etc.), one a GVC and the other a G9Q panel. They both had the speaker buzz above certain volumes depending on the media being played. And to my ear they were 100% indistinguishable from each other - i.e., for a given media/volume if one phone had the speaker buzz the other did as well.

Yes I agree. Support is supposed to call me today but they havent yet.

Every AIR I have seen has this has this distortion issue at max volume.

Seems like they increased the max range of the speaker to compensate for the only have a single speaker. Some EQ tuning may be able to correct it.

Reminds me of the haloing effect on the vision pro with bright content on a dark background. It's 100% there on every single unit (nature of the tech) and you either notice it or you do not. If you notice it, and it bothers you, you cannot unsee/hear it. That is what this sounds like.

I had an Air since a week after launch and had no speaker crackle even at 100% volume. I cracked the rear glass and they replaced the phone entirely (due to an apparent battery issue) and the new one does have the speaker crackle. I just checked and the new one is a GVC panel. Unfortunately I don't know what the first Air had as I never had a reason to check the panel type via sysdiagnose unless there's some method for doing so now, without the phone in my possession?
