iPhone Backup files location?

Where are the backup iPhone files located in Windows and Mac? Is it possible to transfer the backup file(s) from Windows to Mac, vice versa?

(for Mac) They're in: "~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup"

Not sure about moving them to Windows iTunes, though.

I dont see them in that folder. I dont have a "MobileSync" folder.

Check that you're in your user Library, rather than in "/Macintosh HD/Library"

('~' (tilde) means user)

IF YOU CAN NOT FIND \APPDATA YOU MUST DISABLE HIDDEN FOLDERS!

you can do this through CONTROL PANEL -> FOLDER OPTIONS -> VIEW

This caused too many frustrations for me!
