Actually, even if it were plugged in it couldn't hurt you because the voltage is very low. Remember the 120 volt AC adapter reduces and converts the wall voltage down to around 5 volts DC.

Yes, that's right. I didn't even think of the low voltage output. I'd still be nervous to try it. haha

Yea. I dropped my iPhone 4 in the bath tub last week. Yet i sit here to type the tale.

All was good with the phone by the way. Everything works normally and i never even turned it off or dried it out. I pulled it out of the water and continued to type the message.

And it is naked.

Will the iPhone or iPod touch electrocute a person if it falls into a bathtub?

Not concerned about the damage to the phone, but will the person live to tell the story?

Taking your Phone into the Bath with you would be as Brilliant as Texting and Falling into a Open Man Hole Cover:D

Curious, I tried dropping mine into the toilet instead. It was cool-- a mushroom cloud of water, blue electric lightning-bolts in all directions, and toilet-paper confetti everywhere. Try it.

Of course, if you ARE planning on the perfect murder as was suggested by one of the posters here, would you really be willing to kill your iPhone too??

I know I wouldn't :D
