I received my replacement iPhone on Tuesday. I got my iPhone picked up by Fedex Yesterday. I got an email in the morning that they received it. I got another email that they are sending me a new one late afternoon. That is a pretty smooth process.

I am also impressed with the way my replacement phone sync'ed and got all the settings. I did not miss too much except for some quirks like my Voice mail password, VPN settings etc. were not correct. Otherwise, I got everything else on the replacement phone including some notes that are critical to my work.

This syncing with iTunes to transfer to a replacement phone is the best experience I have had ever with such chores.

It was draining too fast.

And, I got the new iPhone at 9:30 A.M. today (on a Saturday), delivered by FedEx.

I feel like a royalty with this kind of a treatment.

how do you uninstall ssh from the iphone, i have independence and have 1.1.1 but i don't plan on adding anything else to the phone for a while and if i don't need ssh i'd rather just uninstall it so is there an option for that or a guide?

Yes...I too used iNdependence (they warned NOT to download SSH from installer bc you already have SSH from iNdependence)and I do not see any icon to turn SSH off...perhaps we can uninstall it from the iNdependence program on our main computer?

how fast was it draining? Because i feel my iPhone battery draines fast in 5 hrs just the internet surfing/15 hrs standby at the lowest lowest brightness. Nothing else. ANd i don't know if it's normal. What was ur condition?

For me, with very little usage, the battery level dropped to 50% in 12 hours and then a battery level warning came after another 8 hours. That is when I called Applecare and they took care of it.

I did previously download services and may have turned SSH off with that -although when I tested it I was still able to connect even with SSH in services off.

Eitherway it doesnt work now so it must be off!

So is my power usage that bad? and what sort of performance have others been getting?

To be honest compared to my Nokia N95 the iphone lasts forever! lol

i also have this problem - i cant find ssh on my iphone!!! so i presume it's dead for good.

I am still on 1.0.2 :)

I got more than 15 hours, ~1 games , ~2 on apollo + sms + safari +music

I am really happy.

you can find if ssh is up via terminal

use the command top, nd if you see something like sshd, ssh is alive

so is it possible that 1.1.3 is really draining the battery i just got my iphone replaced and well its better than the old one but eh i guess if you use any phone it will die faster.
