iPhone Battery Percentage

Huh?

That doesnt make sense. I think it's gonna be in the final 3.0 OS when released next week

From the top...

"The battery icon in the upper-right corner shows the battery level or charging status. You can also display the percentage of the battery charge (iPhone 3G S only)."

There a lot of things enabled on the 3G that arent on the OG, enabled on 3GS but not 3G, etc.. that are completely ridiculous

ya i caught it real fast :)

there is absolutely no reason why we cant have the percentage on our iphone 3g and iphone 2g, come on apple

apple is starting to become just as bad as att with screwing its customers :/
 
i don't know how true that is...i'm running 3.0 on a 3G and have the percentage and the battery icon. when you jailbreak the percentage replaces the battery icon you don't have them side by side.

Okay this is just f**king stupid Apple. I usually agree with Apple decisions, but not including this on older iPhones. There's just no logic behind this. None at all. Grrrrr! Small feature, but I really would have liked to have it! Stupid...

So your iPhone has never been jailbroken and it not currently jailbroken?

actually when u jailbreak using 3.0 u can enable the precentage that goes side by side

and please tell me how u got that working and do u have a setting switch to enable it?
 
I had my phone jailbroken and had the percentage turned on. I could switch back and forth between the number and the icon by tapping on it.

I have now restored to 3.0 and it shows them both side by side like the picture above. I have no setting that I've found to turn that off or change it. Guess it's permanent for me until 3.0 is jailbreakable and I can turn if off at that time.
