iPhone Battery Percentage

i might just sit and restore my 3.0 hundreds of times if i can get battery percentage at random :/, i really really really want percentage
 
ya i do ill just let it run while i do other things, i want percentage really bad it is one of the main features i was looking forward too in 3.0 and it pisses me off that they didnt put it in there for 3g

Why is it so important to you? Can't you just estimate it?
 
Smart move on Apple's part.

The battery meter, voice control, and other software-only upgrades found only in the 3G S are what make it a valuable device.

People are getting angry over this in this thread, which is exactly what Apple wants. People to be so angry that they go buy the newest device.
 
Maybe the battery technology has evolved so much that only the new battery can show a percentage.

i cant wait till the jailbreak is out for 3.0 now so i can enable the percentage and all the other features apple(att) screwed us out of
 
yes...general said it wouldnt be an option of 3.0...and he is right..

at that time..we didnt even know about the 3gs

How was he right? Its going to be there, but not for 3G users. 3GS will have the on/off switch in their settings.
