The first iPhone campers have established their place in line at the New York City 5th Avenue Apple Store. Gizmodo has posted a brief video interview:

Meanwhile, we've heard that some Apple Stores have already started receiving iPhone shipments.

Loos....No,

Dor...No,

Ner...No,

Hmmm....Lucky!

I still don't have nearly the patience to show up more than a few hours early.

Especially to hang out with a bunch of Yankee fans!:D

You have got to be kidding me. It is freaking Monday in New York. The phone comes out in four days. That is just nuts. Camping four days to get at a phone. Yeah, its a cool phone, but i don't think it'd be worth four days of my life wasted waiting outside for it.

But, then again, I suppose that i'm not the one camping. To each his own.

"I got a banana."

That'll last you till Friday. :p

I wonder if these two have any clue that most of the Apple online community is talking about them.

Because they will get national publicity. Not to mention reinforcing the image of crazy Mac cultist's who will stand in line 5 days for a flippin' cell phone.

They're obviously seeking media attention.
Honestly, is there a point to wait this far in advance?

something else

There must be something else to this camping out thing that I don't get. For example, people did it for the Star Wars movies too. In reality that is even more stupid because you could easily just watch the movie a few hours later. So why trade several days of your life for seeing a movie a few hours earlier?

I suppose it is kind of like an idiots version of going to the moon. Yeah, we did science up there, but a big part of it was just going. Of course, the journey to the moon caused many peope to use their brains and develop new technologies. Since idiots can't do this, their version of going to the moon in camping out in front of a store or movie theater.

So basically- yeah- they're just dumb.

You know Sony fed those that were waiting in line at their Sony-Style stores for the PS3.... I hope Apple helps those guys out...

Cause with that guys size of a belly, and that small of a banana... God be with him.

This bunch of loony tunes really need to just park those little beach chairs right in the middle of Fifth Avenue and do us all a favor.
