iPhone car air vent holder for phone WITH case

blowing direct a/c on the phone or in winter it will be heat this is the only issue about them. bought one from a ebay seller but never use it.

Can you not disable the vent, or does that close it?

option would be block the vent with something inside. or close the vent then I wouldn't be able to mount it. I bought one like this instead works just fine.

Since electronic devices run hot (many have complained in these forums about their iPhones getting hot) and heat is the enemy of electronics, what is the problem with the A/C vent blowing on the iPhone? I would think, especially on a hot summer day, this would be protective for the phone.

In the winter, no one in Canada blows heat from the face vent, only the feet vents!

the A/C that is I just prefer the other device one solution. that only thin I don't like about mine is it's not universal so I have to take the phone out of the case to use it. I have my eye out for one of those now. I am actually planing to do a quick youtube on my 5 or so favorite accessory's and probably fallow it up with my 5 waste of money devices. just for fun I hope to do it in the next couple days. it will be short brief and to the point. 😉

I wish i could use a suction mount, but i just wouldnt ever be able to see out my dash.. with my GPS and Sirius, if i added an iphone dash mount (or windsheild mount) i wouldnt be able to see

hence the need for a vent mount.. its nice and low, away from my view but still in an area that it can be seen easily.

I bought a vent holder, but it doesnt fit with a case on it.. so now i need a new one.. which is why i revisted this old as hell thread

I got an adjustable all purpose phone holder from Best Buy and it fits my iPhone with the case on. It was also an air vent clip-on

I didn't know whether or not to open up an old thread or start a new one...

I was wondering if anyone has seen Type S Universal Holders still in walmart. I just went by the auto section and could not find anything iPod/iPhone related except for iPod cases and this adhesive stuff for cell phones that you put on your dash. 🙁

After searching online some more and thanks to this post: https://forums.macrumors.com/posts/5969612/ I was able to buy one. If you can't find it, make sure to ask someone for mounting accessories for iPod/iPhone! A worker pointed me to a little display with one side full of different car iPhone/iPod accessories!

So, I just basically saved myself $20 from buying a mount from Kensington, but I spent $5 more because I didn't buy it at Walmart. 😛

After someone stole my audio system back in the Fall of 08, I had to use my cell phones as "audio systems", somewhat limited though.

But I recently got an iPhone 3Gs, and though it can't be assumed as a full on audio system, it fits my needs as far as music and podcasts go...

I am in the market for a holder for my car and here is what I found.

I know it is in French, and in Euros, but I find it to be a pretty darn good deal...

As any of you tried some Kensington products? I am for vents holder, because I want it to not be seen from the outside, such as a on shield holder would..
