Windows based and Web based systems for the government. What does this matter?

It matters because now your "only PCs do real work" statement has merit as based within the context of your daily life. I now understand where you're coming from when you say that.

Working exclusively with Microsoft would put you in a biased position, but if you are going to make an argument against Apple's computers, you should have recent information in your stance.

Like pricing. And capabilities.

I don't think only PC's do real work. I said that I think you should have a PC if you work in the business world. Almost all businesses, especially ones that have been around for a while, run off of Microsoft technologies. It has been like this for so long that it is basically the standard for business. I think Mac's are very powerful and do operate quite well, but for my situation and most of the people in the business world, it just doesn't make sense.

As far as the iPod goes, it has been so successful for so long, that I think it is basically the standard when it comes to mp3 players. Why people still buy other brand mp3 players blows my mind.

How did you MOD your MacBook to allow for themes (assuming you did)?

A beef of mine with Mac products is that there is so very little options given to you to customize the interface. Hope developers realize some customization with Snow Leopard.

Meant that I have modded my phone-repeatedly :)

It is actually easier to mod a MacBook than the iPhone-doesn't require any sort of Firmware revision like the iPhone does. I agree that there are few Apple themes-there are many third party ones, and most are free.

I just went back to Apple computers after being gone for years. I use windows all day at work right now and when I get home, it is nice to turn on the computer-have it up and running in less than 30 seconds, not have to worry if my virusspywall software is up to date, and basically enjoy computing again.

And I can do at least 95% of what windows does-and when I can't, I reboot into Windows with bootcamp (or use parallels for quick windows tasks).

Its like having 2 computers in one box-and I could put linux on using parallels if I was inclined.

Maybe PCs are more business (and IMHO, this is a stretch), but the Mac is by far more fun.

I think when I start working (I'm only 14) I'll use a Mac and just run bootcamp when necessary. Of course by then maybe we will see more of a significant reverse in the trend.
