I actually dig this. I lost 35 pounds in the past 3 months just by counting calories accurately in all my food and drinks to know what was being shoveled into my body. For homemade items I have to manually calculate that, and enter that into an app, as well as manually adding every thing I drink.

If it can accurately gauge those it will save me 5 minutes a day. Not a lot of time...but over a year that is 30 hours of my time saved.

I'm sure as soon as I get one though...I'll stop caring and become fat again. But RIGHT NOW...I am the targeted person for this (and all the other health tracking app stuff Apple is pushing on).

a nanny cup to remind me i shouldn't be having another gin drink? no thanks.

Your biggest problem here is not knowing that gin is rubbish.

A good whiskey will get you there quicker and without the reek of juniper. :p

Smart Toilet Paper

Smart Toilet Paper would be nice.
It would analyze your poop and tell you if you are really finished pooping.......

Oh well, moderators.
Go for it and delete it, but it was fun as long as it lasted.

Why are you here?

I've been sitting here for a while and try as I might, I can't think of a stupider idea than an expensive, resource-intensive device that tells you what you're drinking.

There already are smart toilets that can analyze your urine and poop. "Smart" Toilet Paper wouldn't make sense as it is a disposible product. "Smart" products are all typically reusable. Unless you are talking about using a specific toilet paper designed to obtain a fecal sample which you can than insert into another device to analyze the poop. Then, I could see this as an alternative to a smart toilet.

However, I don't see how any device could know how much poop you still have in your body to notify you if you are finished or not. You would need some way to scan your abdomen. Typically, ultrasound would be used. I can't see an ultrasound device that you hold or wear to be very practical. Though, it could be of benefit for people who suffer from constipation or who have other bowel problems.

Interesting idea with the smart toilet paper. Though, I don't think it would be as simple as you think to implement.

Seeing as most people overeat their calories, I don't see the point of this. It's a fashion accessory and another thing that needs to be charged. Fat people can now pretend they are dieting by watching what they drink while shoving cookies down their chomper.

Would it notice a date rape drug?

Seriously, they should hire you just for asking that question. That would be epic.

I'm loving the idea of checking for date rape drugs. I'm pretty sure 200$ to prevent a rape is worth it.

Totally legit use, but I couldn't see someone carrying it to a bar — what they *should* make, if they don't already, are testing strips you can inconspicuously dip into a drink to check for specific substances. Does that already exist? I actually know several women who have been roofied (hell, we probably all do). Scary crap.

Interesting... I don't think I need my drinking habits tracked though.

There are straws on the market to detect this. A bit expensive, so not very widely used yet.

Caffeine

This might be useful for people trying to cut back on certain items like soda or coffee. If it can tell you how many calories you taken in or how much caffeine you've had throughout the day, this would be great. But for $199, no way. $99... maybe...
