1.1 GB since October 27 (my last restore; statistics were reset). Downloading high quality videos via YourTube can add up the MB pretty quickly.

1.0 GB per month for me, I am usually near Wifi which is quicker, but when I need 3G I usually run up to 1.0GB per month, sometimes a littler higher and sometimes a little lower.

I usually use 1-2GB a month, depending on if I visit an area with 3G often (I live about 30 minutes away from 3G). When I am on the 3G network, it usually brings down about 3mbit/s, so I download away to get my money's worth.

If I use only EDGE, its usually around 500MB/month.

This is Akesson - Flavour Park mashed up with the vocals from 4 Strings`s "Take me away".

If you jailbreak it does......

or if you are n Canada i think you can Tether, but you need at east a 1Gig data plan. Though i do not know for sure.

i never go over 500, came close once got up to 80% of my data plan used in a one month period.

i travel a lot so i alwas uses my 3g or 3gs as a modem. normal usage in a mont would be 20-50 GB
anyway my operator only charges me a maximum fee of 2 £ a day so i use it to the max. i love the ability to chose my own operator.

Last month 62mb but it averages between 30 to 60mb per month.
Definetelly not $30 worth of data.

You sound like me 2 months ago. Cancel your contract and downgrade to go-phone. It's so much better dude. I never have to worry about using my iPhone... if I don't feel like using it, I just don't... then I don't feel like I'm wasting money. When I had a data plan, I would TRY to find excuses to use my iPhone to TRY to get my money's worth out of it... I'm much happier just keeping it in my pants and enjoying the people around me.

I hear you, it is kind of a waste.
The main reason I keep it is so I can receive MMS,Visal voicemail and check a few things online when rarelly Im away from wifi:D
Or in an emergency case where I'd need to use internet tethering to a computer or laptop.

How on earth do you all use 1GB of data a month without some sort of tethering going on? I've used 163MB this month, and that's almost a record for me.

My 2.5 took into account some jailbreaking. Namely unrestricting App Store/YouTube and a lot of Cydia checking; however, it did not include tethering. If you use Pandora or Last FM a lot those can really add up. I did turn off wifi.

Seriously though, if you only did 163MB you are not getting your money's worth.

Whenever I use data, my battery is railed and I end up not being able to use the device for its phone capabilities, which are, after all, the most important aspect of owning it.

You deserve to be removed from the AT&T network for abuse. Clearly you are doing something you aren't supposed to.

I'm still using firmware 3.0, and using AT&T's carrier version 5. Nothing is hacked on my phone. We have 2 iPhones, and the phone bill is $180 a month (It's been this high for a good 2 years now). I canceled my comcast internet for the time being, so this is what I'm using. I may be using a lot of bandwidth, but I am no way ripping off AT&T.

No you are not. Everything is to the iPhone and the Data is sold as Unlimited.

55gb

Lots of Skype, Pandora, satellite radio, gps, etc.

i think that is over exagerated just a bit much.. first of all if i am not mistaken AT&T has a soft cap for there "unlimited data" so you would not be able to use that much, but if you are in the UK then i would not know about data caps.

secondly you would have to be using nothing but data everywhere you went for longer then the battery lasts during the time it is unplugged. I highly doubt you sit at a wall charging all the time while using skype pandora etc...

but thats just what i think.

You are mistaken. That's how people including me use as much as 10GB a month and more
