Thanks for that, I haven't laughed that hard in quite some time. Seriously, its advertising. Um, duh? Do you believe all the ads you see? Do you really think there is a Trix rabbit? Or that the Pringles guy actually exists? If you didn't know this about advertising, I guess you are the most gullible person in existence because my 5 year old sister even knows ads are fake.

You have got to be kidding me. Does Apple and AT&T pay you? This is particularly beyond advertising that we all know is fiction. This is pointing out how Apple deceives people into thinking they can watch videos of this quality over the 3G network.

Yah duh welcome to the world of advertising.

Do you dry your sweater with the Sham Wow too?

No but I apply it to my carpet with no pressure and 50 percent of the cola I spill is gone immediately. And I do spill it frequently to make sure I get my money's worth. Sometimes it is dr. pepper though.

I recently saw an ad demonstrating how YouTube looked over 3G, and wanted to see if mine could look that great. In Apple's official ad, you can clearly see the dog and even make out the waves. Not in reality. Same video, max brightness.

Advertising like that is shadey, but let's put it in a fair comparison. What is it on 3G vs. Wifi?

I looked up the same video on my iPhone 3G and the video doesn't look that great even on wifi. It looks like their advertising people cleaned the picture before posting the advertisement.

Youll also not its a completely different video, the ad is a 16:9 fills the whole screen, dog is smaller, compared to your 4:3 dog is zoomed in pic...

There is only one video. I could have posted the same image at exactly 6 seconds but it's so pixelated I didn't think anybody here would even be able to tell what the hell they were looking at.

Are you kidding me? The Sham Wow commercials show a guy drying a sweater with the cloth, and soaking spilled pop AND lifting the stain from carpeting with the sham wow. THAT is the exact same concept, on a LARGER scale. ALL cell phone commercials you see have beefed up images and such, its ADVERTISING. Welcome to earth, its 2009, I'm Steve, what planet are you from?

Well both AT&T and Verizon both claim to have the biggest 3G network. I wouldn't be surprised if they share towers to save money.

on a side note... its a different network, cdma vs gsm, they couldnt share if they wanted to

on a related note, jesus, get a life, i looked at that vid on my iphone with wifi and it doesnt look that good, its a crappy video, apple found a good video somewhere, you tell if you look at the video, the ad is wider and brighter ect. ITS ADVERTISING, get over it, i work at burger king and i can assure you our whopper juniors look just the like that whopper junior on the new stupid commercial where the guy is dressed up ( i mean towards the end its a whopper junior with onions bigger than the meat which fills the whole bun, with a giant tomato and ketchup precisely squirted on........................./sarcasm) in reality we grab some buns out of a steamer, throw on a piece of meat, slap on some mayonaise, throw a little lettuice on, ad a tomato, which is usually disgusting, they're old and blah, then we add two pickles, spray ketchup as fast as we can and throw some onions on, mic it, and done in about 30 seconds.... but it looks just like the ad, i PROMISE

The can share the tower, but not the transmitter.

But I agree with you. People are too sensitive nowadays. Suing over false advertising because the screens were simulated? Give me a break. This is why we need "loser pays" tort reform is needed.

I wish my life was so problem-free where I could find nothing better to complain about the YouTube video quality on a mobile phone.

He used the product to mop up her blood. 50% of the stain was lifted without any pressure. Even she was impressed.

Here it is

I call BS on this thread. The picture on photobucket is not accurate and I attached photos as proof.

I downloaded this video via 3G, and it looked great. But then I thought of getting a screen capture and decided to download via WiFi to save time. Video looks the same both ways.

This is on a 3G with 3.0.
