Is there a timeline when Apple said digital IDs using passports would be available in the wallet app?

I'd never try to fly at any of those airports without my physical ID. At this point in time it would end poorly.
My passport is always with me when getting anywhere near an airport.
Well, FL does have its own app(not that it's any good)... I did test out Touchless TSA Pre√ this morning — it's pretty nice.I'm in Florida and I've lost hope. We were supposed to get a replacement by now, but nothing has been announced.
At least there is the passport option now? Also, I believe TPA now supports digital ID's because there were terminals for it and it was being advertised in the TSA line.
Florida does, but unfortunately not via Wallet.I don't understand why some states don't seem to want to support drivers licences. Privacy issues? I'm in Florida and would love this option!
Right?!? And the bizarre part is that if you move, they no longer do a sticker but just updated the backend DMV database. So what is the use of a driver’s license? If you know your number, can’t you just give that out?Oregon license... will never happen. PDX I'm surprised wouldn't jump on this.
Japan’s My Number Card isn’t quite the same as a DL but is also a supported identity card.So 1 state per month in the United States only. This means this feature will reach Belgium in Maytember 2145
A lot of states have their own app for it (Colorado’s is actually pretty good and accepted everywhere in the state).
This is about Apple’s baked in implementation, which I find completely useless at the moment, and I live in a state that was one of the first to have both. It’s still faster to hand the TSA agent your physical ID and look at their, arguably illegal, face scanning cameras at TSA than it is to use the Apple Wallet ID.

Three words to avoid the BS face scanners….I opt out.A lot of states have their own app for it (Colorado’s is actually pretty good and accepted everywhere in the state).

Oh interesting, what's the name of the app?Florida does, but unfortunately not via Wallet.
Meanwhile in Australia, all states have agreed to a new ISO standard. Right now, the digital licence pretty much carries the same weight as physical cards. e.g. airport, nightclubs, hotels, casinos....etc. There are even provisions for broken screens, flat batteries and how police handle your ID.These digital IDs are completely useless. They aren’t accepted anywhere, all the airports that say they are accepted I’ve never once had it work, and even picking up an online order at the Apple Store they wouldn’t accept my digital ID and made me show my physical ID.
If these were adopted like Apple Pay was it would be cool, but it’s entirely useless. Nice try though.
It's called Florida Smart ID — https://apps.apple.com/app/id1560687532Oh interesting, what's the name of the app?
Look at the bright side: by the time it comes to your state, it may actually be useful.I’ll be long gone by the time the other 40 states get around to it. I’m pretty sure my state will be one of the last five.
This is terrible advice 😂Don't give your cellphone to the cops as you should be using it to record them. Never talk to cops and always plead the 5th and demand a lawyer. Do not consent to any searches or seizures.
