My iPhone 17 with a new battery for $99 sounds so good right now

My 13 mini have a new battery, so I’m happy too for now.
I will definitely wait to next upgrade of the Duo.

I like iPhone Duo, absolutely.
So now I will pass next the upgrade of the iPad mini - I’m fine with A17 Pro - and those money goes to iPhone Duo 2.

at first I was really irked that they downgraded the FaceTime (centerstage) camera from 18MP to 12MP... then I remembered that this thing can take selfies with the main camera lol. I'm totally in! They appear to have crushed this.

I was worried about MagSafe I own so many MagSafe accessories and have chargers all over my house. Im bummed about Face ID but I can deal

What can the new duo do though? Apple Pencil? Keyboard on the bottom screen on the top like a netbook? Read a book in book format?

Still unclear whether it has MagSafe or just supports wireless charging. I can see this being an issue for those who don’t case their phone but I do anyway. A quick Google search shows Spigen offering a case with MagSafe. That’s good enough for me.

Edit* Scratch that. Tech specs say MagSafe.

Having MagSafe support is huge -- especially for those of us using magnetic car mounts and otherwise invested in MagSafe accessories (like chargers on our nightstand)

I understand the price is crazy.

However, most of you already have a phone to trade in.

My iPhone 16 Pro Max got me over $600 in trade-in value from Apple, so the phone is only costing me $1399.

I am going to pay $57 a month to finance it, the same cost I paid in the upgrade program for the past two years for my iPhone 16 Pro Max, and at the end of 24 months, I can trade it in for the Duo 3 at a bigger discount.

Is it MagSafe or just wireless charging. Those are not the same.
From the description for the iPhone Duo Case:
"With built-in magnets that align perfectly with iPhone Duo, this case offers a magical attach experience and faster wireless charging, every time. When it’s time to charge, just leave the case on your device and snap on a MagSafe charger, or set it on a Qi2 25W or Qi-certified charger."

i was wrong about the fact that u should hold the duo with two hands compared to the ipad mini. kudos to apple, they thought of everything and more.
but i will stay with my ipad mini and look forward to the iphone duo mark 2.

But will it support a MagSafe wallet? The wallets on Apple’s website don’t list the Duo under compatible devices. I use a MagSafe Peak Design stand wallet. Really nice to only carry one thing in my pocket. If the Duo does not support a MagSafe wallet, I’ll have to think more about this decision. Don’t want to go back in time to carrying an old school wallet lol.
I would imagine they would still work. But my tilt stand wallet is a bit redundant now. Might go back to a traditional wallet.

It’s MagSafe because the duo cases are listed in the MagSafe category on the Apple Store
