lol. you'd think that 1.1.4 or 1.2 or 2.0 or 666 would give them 100 share of apple stock or something.

i can't really laugh though. i was jonesing for 1.1.2 when the rumors were flying. let's see if they're still as pumped up for the 10th update.

At this point I am pretty sure there will be an update, but I am unsure what will be included with it. I find it hard to believe that it will be a huge update with something like flash since MacWorld was not too long ago and even an unready flash player could have been announced there.

iChat over wifi is worthless.

If a sidekick can do it years ago without any problems, ATT better not cry about bandwidth / data usage with an exclusive phone from Apple...

I think Apple will slap the sense back into their heads.... fingers crossed.

iChat over EDGE or 3G will mean less texting that AT&T can charge us for. That would really piss AT&T off.

iChat over wifi = me not upgrading. What a joke you people at Apple are. Wifi isnt THAT accessible that you can limit your chat client like that.

Is everything $$ to you? Aww will it cut into ATTs profits? Give me a break. Do something FOR the customer for a change.

They did do something for us - they brought us the iPhone. Running a business doesn't come cheap. They didn't build up a $16 Billion war chest giving away freebies.

For some of us, wi-fi IS accessible. Every home I visit has accessible wifi. The mall has wifi. The hospital has wifi. You can't expect them to sell a handset and not allow the carrier to make any money off it.
