Google removing Gmaps from the iPhone makes no sense, it would allow for someone else to take market share and also, the G1 is not Google, Android is Google. With the iPhone and Android, Google will soon dominate maps services on all smart phones.
they are adding eveything but push notification services.. its like they are avoiding it... but w.e

Who Cares about Google Street View.
I want:
Push Technology
MMS
Cut and Paste
Better 3G. (I only get 3G about 20% of the time.)
How about public transit directions, too? I use that a lot more on Google Maps than I use street view.
Oh, and what happened to push notifications? :/
Street View. Nice, but I'd much rather the firmware update enabled turn by turn navigation so TomTom can get Navigator up on the App Store![]()
Of course it works. Guys, stop it with the hyperbole.Google maps does not work on the iTouch?
I did not know that.
...Oh? What wuzzat? Voice dialing? Like on my wife's "free with the plan" Motorola? No? Sorry. Going back to sleep now...
If the GPS has compass-heading support (which Apple has said is on the way IIRC) then hopefully as you're standing in the street, Street View in "current location" mode can know which way you're facing and show you what's actually in front of you automatically. You could tell the restaurant you want is right in front of you, without actually having to look up and see it.
This would be awesome. I HATE having to look away from iPhone screen. For any reason. Ever.

"The ability to batch update will also be available on the iPhone itself in the 2.2 software update."
Last time I browse MR under the influence. I thought that was a GTA screenshot...
