The only real downside to the newest iPad Mini is the touchID in the power button. I find it annoying to have to move my hands up to it. I could not stomach it constantly on my phone. At least in the old days of TouchID it was down at the bottom on the button I was constantly using.

Take an iPad mini. Remove the hefty bezel and fold it in half add a second screen and camera, and bingo you have the new device. The mini does everything. It runs Logic and Final Cut. It has a phone. The foldable should be based on iPadOS.
 
That's your opinion. Competing devices that are the same/similar in size do it just fine, as has been discussed in this thread
I don't see it as my opinion. I see it as objective fact. So do the designers of the product. You choose to see it as my opinion, because you choose to disagree with objective fact. Not an enviable position.
