Good for you. I cannot argue, as it is a very pleasant experience to live in Apple Fanboy Fantasy Land.

Unfortunately in real world, the real iPhone has real problems. Some of which were just magnifyed by the update.

Care to name a single problem with the iPhone that was magnified with the update?

Personally, I have gotten a ridiculous amount of use and benefit from my iPhone. Even at the initial launch price it paid for itself a very long time ago.

My biggest complaint in my first 3 months has been speaker/handset volume. This update seems to have addressed that some, so I am very happy. I get a lot of use out of it.

My iPhone actually was a life-saver for me last week. I was out of town on vacation I was able to ascertain and deal with a problem in my business all through my iPhone long before I could have managed to deal with it any single way. So in short order things were back in line and I could enjoy my trip.

The reason why my experience might be different from some others is I primarily bought the iPhone for what I knew it to be and what it would be capable of doing. I didn't fantasize about it being something else or having a completely different feature set. If it did not come with features and tools beneficial to me out of the box I would not have bought it.

Here here!

I'm a newbie who joined MacRumors a little before the iPhone was released. I wasn't going to buy one because it lacked 3G, but after a while on these forums, the excitement got to me and I gave in, buying the iPhone on June 29th.

I loved the experience, waiting in line, and running back here to share stories with other excited iPhone owners and having people ask, "Is that an iPhone?" with excitement on the street.

NOW it seems that this forum has more complaints than anything. It's a major downer.I believe some competitors seed negative comments but most other complaints seem to be rather frivilous (e.g. I hacked my iphone and now it's screwed, I dropped my iphone and Apple won't replace it, there's a dot on the screen, etc.)

Please hold up the PERFECT cell phone. Let us all see it. I want to see it.

The iPhone is $400 now. No one forced any of us to by it, and we all had plenty of chances to learn what it does and does not have.

I have not hacked my iPhone, and I am so excited about the updates. I still feel today like I did on June 29. If anyone knows where HAPPY iPhone people are, please point me in that direction.

I'm a happy iPhone owner, but I warn you, your logic just doesn't work here.

:)

Even though I'm not "complaining", my iPhone froze today and I had to reset it, and I've noticed that some random programs like Photos crash a few times when during 1.0.2, I never noticed them crash at all, and my iPhone certainly has never froze before.

The iPhone has the highest customer satisfaction rating of any product Apple has ever released. How can you argue with that?? I love my iPhone and I think there will be a day when I look back and wonder how I ever owned any other cellular phone. Oh, that day was last month.
