I think it's just the smaller bezel making it look smaller.

Wow! Someone on macrumors with a brain. Holy hell! Who would have thought.

Like said above, it's the lack of a bezel that's throwing people. Apple would never go backwards. It would be stupid. You go forwards. Please stop spreading the smaller screen rumor.

Reminds me of this...which orange circle is bigger? :D

no one said they were in a spec war. Not sure what you are smoking. Apple may just as well place the A4 chip in the device.

but like i said, they want to surpass HTC as they are the top guns right now with the android marker.

I'm not sure if you've followed Apple for a long time or not, but if you look at their history, they've never been the company to put out the biggest specs so they can compete with another company. Apple will put out the specs that they think will be best and optimize the OS around the hardware so it feels like an overall better experience.

iPhone's screen size is perfect. Actually no one really cares if the screen is 3.5 inch or 3.7 (or 4) inch. Only the tech nerds do, and it happens to be that most iPod and iPhone buyers don't really care about the specs.

I'm not a nerd and I care.

and yes they do care about specs. Theres more the apple then just a shinny logo.

I think everyone is forgetting the point of the iphone.. It's a phone so it doesn't need a huge screen..

If you want to watch media etc then go with the ipad.

Its already been confirmed that its slightly smaller.

So its Monday where you now?

Apple confirmed nothing. The point of the iPhone is to make calls. Hence the word phone

Exactly, 3.5" is perfect, think of the ergonomics.

3.5 is a fine size but its small. The 4" phones are roughly the same size as the iphone expect a few mm larger. A mm if you pay attention in school is small.

I look ahead. Apple has changed their image in the last few years... I dont always look at the past.

Please stop spreading the smaller screen rumor.

Well, the people who actually HAD the phone and took it apart claim it's smaller. (Under the 'What's Changed' section.)

Do you have some proof otherwise? Because at the moment I'm trusting them the most on these things. Obviously anything can change on Monday, but I don't think it's fair to call it a "rumor." It's a bit more than that.

on the current iPhone there is a very small border around the screen which doesn't light up, only about 2mm on each side. Maybe the display of the screen is the same size but now fits flush with the casing.

I don't believe those children. Besides they could have gotten nan early prototype
