Hey everyone, I searched the forum for this but couldn't find a water story related to headphones, not the iPhone. My wife was doing the laundry and forgot the check one set of pockets, and this set had my iPhones's headphones in it. Now, this is entirely my fault since I forgot them in that pocket to begin with. That being said, they went through the wash. I have them sitting in a bag of rice to see if that helps, but I don't know much about how water affects headphones. Anyone else had this happen? I'll post more info when they dry out.

Nothing happened. Works fine. I just used a hair dryer to dry them after wash.

mine were ded :/

I have accidentally washed my headphones in the washing machine twice and both times they dried out by themselves and worked even better after (guess the ocassional earwax does it's deed after a while no matter how clean your ears are). Would not suggest it as a cleaning method though, because any time can be the last.

[doublepost=1531971600][/doublepost]I have constantly put probably every pair of apple earbuds i own in the washing mashine and they have all turned out having 0 probably in fact i now almost purposely leave them or even toss them in the washing machine just to clean them if they are dirty

Mine went trough the washer and dryer which was on high heat yet they work perfectly. They are also louder now, the button still works and they don’t make weird noises. I give Apple 5 stars because water resistant and temperature resistant headphones....GENUIS! {there water resistant because if you go swimming you get water in your ear plus if its raining they will get wet. Temperature resistant is because in Cuba its hella hot and up north in the winter its freezing.}

Oh I’ve washed my Apple headphones before and they have always survived the washing machines and dryer. Hmm I really do need to check pockets before I wash.
