Hello I have an iPhone 6splus that my brothers friend gave to him. It is with T-Mobile but when I go onto their website and type in the imei it just says it's blocked on the network. Apparently someone didn't pay off the remaining balance. I go onto swappa to check imei and it says "Lost/Stolen Blocked By at least one carrier" but it also says activation ready. I'm a little confused because I checked a different IMEI and it says blacklisted. I also checked ANOTHER one and it says CLEAN ESN. Is it Just blocked by TMobile? Is it Lost or stolen? I'm confused because different websites say different things. I wanted to know can I bring it to ATT or Verizon.

TMobile will not unlock this phone until you pay off the balance. You also cannot use this phone on the TMobile network until you pay off all past due amounts. Therefore it is currently blocked for non payment, and also locked because there is still a balance. You cannot use this phone on any other network without clearing up all of this with TMobile. Lastly, if you don't know the original owners name and last 4 SSN# then you can't even pay off the past due balance on their behalf.
