How come on Apple ads when people call it shows their picture in the top right corner but on my phone it shows it in the background? I would way rather have it up in the corner..

Ive thought this same thing ever time I see that commercial. I figured it had been asked here numerous times, but frankly had never seen a thread about it until this one.

I could be wrong, but i believe in the top right corner its added on the computer, and in the center its added from the phone. Im not sure about that one, but that might possibly may be right.

If you add the picture in Address Book on your Mac, it will show up in the top corner.
If you add it on you iPhone, it displays it full screen.

Is there any way to get the pictures full screen if you add images via your Mac rather than the iPhone?

Not directly, I don't think, but you could just add the photos via iPhoto, and then add them to your specific contact on the iPhone. That's what I did last year. I have a folder called "contact pics" that gets synced with my iPhone, because I prefer the bigger pic version.

yeah that's what I have done but I also added pics to the address book from iphoto but they still came up small. Guess I'll have to do it all on the iPhone. Strange inconsistency from apple.

Sorry for digging up an old thread, but I have a question.

I like having the small pic in the upper-right corner... so I add my contact pics via Outlook. However, I notice when I do that... the pic always becomes more blurry, then the full image, and sometimes the pic gets off-centered.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is there anyway to correct this? I can provide snap shots in necessary.

Also if you have BeeJiveIM and attach a contact to one of your contacts in BeeJiveIM the pic is the small pic in the corner.

I wish that Apple would just give us an option to allow us to do that.
