I'm looking to get an insurance to cover lose/stolen/user damage for the iphone 5. Can someone please suggest some good deals in the UK? This is the 1st time I'm getting a phone insurance, so a bit new to this.

Many thanks

P.S. I got close to 80GB of Dropbox storage, is there any creative ways to use it to offset the storage limitation on the 32GB iphone?

I have mine on my home contents insurance (Barpax Associates). It's insured against everything you mentioned. Didn't cost anything to add to either which was pretty awesome!

I'm with HSBC, but they don't seems to offer phone insurance after a quick look on their website. Also I don't want to add the phone to my home insurance since I'm saving the claim for something major.

My carrier (Vodafone) offer insurance of £12.99 per month with £50 deductible, I'm looking to beat the monthly payment but keep the same amount of deductible.

iPhone insurance uk

I would like to get my ip5 Insured, any recommendations which is the best company, I've known quite a few ppl who have had problems reclaiming with companies. Who are you guys insured with.

Mine is insured with my bank (Barclays). It's a free perk with my account.

Never had an issue claiming and over the years I've claimed twice for iPhone incidents. Everything went smoothly.

I'd check if your bank account comes with mobile insurance first.

I highly recommend using your bank. I signed up for a Lloyds TSB "Silver Account" as it covers iPhone, well any phone and also gives you additional benefits such as AA etc.

iPhone 5 insurance (uk)

Never insured a phone before but the price of the iPhone makes me think its a prime target for some grubby little opportunist. Have many of you insured, who can you recommend and Is loss insurance as simple as it sounds?

ProtectYourBubble.com

Insured an iPhone 5, 4s, iPad 2, iPad 3, and Macbook pro for £25 a month.

The only thing I don't like about them is that they will replace let's say a 12 month old iPhone with a 12 month iPhone and not a new one. That's my understanding from looking at the small print.

Also If your paying monthly you are required to pay the remaining yearly fee before they will settle any claim.

My barclays additions account is £6.50 a month, i have never used it for actual banking - got set up for mobile insurance and nothing else!

They increased it from £5 a month last year but i now have additionally £500 gadget insurance so the ipad is also covered.

I have my SGS2 covered but i know the iphone is covered, and will transfer it once i jump across.

I'm with my bank (RBS) with a Silver Current account. It costs £8-9 a month, depending on what offer you sign up with, and comes with insurance for iPhone,
covering loss, theft and damage.

It also comes with other benefits such as free HMV digital downloads & Lovefilm
monthly rentals.

Thanks for the link.

Premium of £39.50 @ 12 monthly payments £474.00 + £25 excess = £499.

Cost of a new iPhone 16gb 4s to 5 is £529.

I more prone to think one would be better off saving the £40 per month in a high interest savings account !

Where did you get those figures from?

Go back and read the page this time

That's an ANNUAL price (as in pay premium as listed and have 12 months insurance).

LOL

I'm the same.

However it's worth noting the Barclays excess for iPhones is £80-£100 I believe. Bit unfair compared to any other phone being about £25. For anything other than a loss, I'd be inclined to go via apple for a replacement at £150 odd

ProtectYourBubble.com

I looked into this a couple of years ago, ProtectYourBubble seemed the best on paper but online reviews said they weren't good at paying out.
Has that changed?
