Video Evidence of iPhone Displays at Apple Store

On holiday, I went into an Apple Store (today), and, you know in mobile phone shops, they have those little podiums where the phones are on the top where you can use them, etc...? Well, there was one in the store. The podium was white, which was lit up internally. On the top it had a wire with the plug at the end, which I assume was for keeping the phone's battery full all day. The plug was a dock connector of abnormal length and width (It was around the width of an iPod shuffle, and the length of about 4cm with a curved bottom/end like the iPod Shuffle 1G bottom) but had no logo on the front of it. The gap on the podium which would house the iPhone was shaped as an iPod nano but about a cm taller. I didn't have a camera, but I'll draw roughly what I saw in Keynote. Mind you, this could just be for the iPod nano!

a smaller dock connector could mean even smaller ipod nanos.

Never mind, from here (http://www.emiratesmac.com/forums/showthread.php?t=873), it looks like he's in the UAE, so I don't think any of us will be taking a picture.

Although, that does make it more probable they screwed up and put out materials ahead of time.

Then again, it makes less sense they'd be exhibiting it in a foreign country...who knows.

I don't think that apple would make a table or podium for a product that had a logo on the front of it. That would just ruin the feel of the store...

Very good point. Something like an iChat logo would certainly clutter the display, which apple would not do. In addition, as this is going to be a phone and likely not JUST a vehicle for iChat, thus there would likely be a more appropriate logo to put on the stand rather than an iChat one.

From this alone, i don't believe it.

There is no logo on the front. I've just seriously confused myself with something else that I'm cracking at the moment. iChats blocked over here so I'm trying to fix it. Sorry for any misunderstanding. You will have the pic tomorrow.

I was thinking the same thing. Very unlike Apple to do so.
