The iPhone is so revolutionary and amazing! It doesn't even look like a cell phone!! It is so sleek and sexy looking. I can't wait to see what the widescreen ipod and "revolutionary web device" is. Maybe an apple ultraportable?

Im not impressed with the iPhone. As a PDA user and a Windows Mobile user, this thing has nothing on my phone. It sure is good at what it was designed for, a phone that entertains and talks... other than that, i dont see much potential. How the hell am I suppose to put appointments on the phone with no stylus or keyboard?! I can sync it with my computer, but when Im on the go, I cant do either!

No thanks Apple. Make a real PDA please....

EDIT: well apparently now there is an onscreen keyboard... nevermind then....

Im still in the mix on this one. My phone can still do so much more...

yes it does look expensive. But if it has enough storage (30 gb or more) then it could be an ipod replacement which would make it a little more worth it.

Obviously I dont have any first hand experience - but I believe there is a "virtual keyboard" for inputting text

i really like it - but cingular coverage in my little section of indiana blows....

that and I'm not sure I want the first version of this - but it does look really cool. They're setting a standard again with it that is going to take years for anyone else to approach.

D :D

I wonder if I can use this thing to take the occasional notes on... that would be freakin amazing if I could use it as a tablet too. Then, there would be no reason not to get it!

am catapulted out of my socks.

what a phone.

and they got the OS.

now the wait starts.

unfortunately, iTV (which I have always wanted) just failed.

The iPhone is soooo impressive that it just killed the itv because it is competing for the mac fan's limited dollars. The average consumer doesnt have money to buy both.

dont think you understand - the 3 network in uk (and everywhere else is has it) doesn't allow non-3G phones to be used on its network.. hence.. the iphone is not 3G capable, so wouldnt be allowed on the network I am on..

\so the theory goes anyway

i don't know that though. there are plenty of people, like me, who have another year of my current phone contract. so i'm a year out in buying this thing. i need something else to play around with in the meantime.

Aye, but what - free Yahoo! IMAP mail? Come on man, they're gonna charge us maybe $500 for this, give us at least a years free .Mac for it! Sell the Mac convergence!

I'm wondering if this is a US only phone for the moment? I'm not big on phones - can you just use a US handset with an provider in the UK, providing it's unlocked?
