Convince her, or let her convince herself.

To add what I wrote earlier, I remember writing this a while back in another post:

I remember when my I first got the iPhone 2G and my non-techie wife was saying she'll stick with her RAZR. We went to the movies and during the trailer, they advised everyone to silence their phones. After she wandered around the RAZR's menu and settings option, I walked my wife through a "faster method" by having her close the RAZR, press the correct side button, scroll through the profiles until you see Vibrate, then press the side button again. Then, I showed her my iPhone 2G and flicked the side switch to vibe. She was sold.

Now, three generations later, my wife is all over the Notes app, Toodledo, Facebook, Safari, FaceTime, Target, Google Mobile, Chase, Netflix, SlingPlayer, CBS Radio, Pandora, and Camera. I'm quite proud of myself. ;)

Thats how my mom was with the iPhone, it took me years to push her away from her "good enough" RAZR, but I finally got her to try it out, and after a bit of frustrating question answering, a year later she is addicted to the thing, I think she uses it more than I use mine. :D It took her realizing its more than a phone, its a computer too before she finally "got" it.
