I think they pushed up the launch to take advantage of the bad press regarding Samsung so they weren't able to meet demand. They could also create a buzz by making it seem like it's sold out everywhere. A bunch of companies do it.You must be watching a different phone launch.
Apple announced no in store availability of any of the newest/highest demand models.
So which is it? There is no demand? Or so much demand they can't meet it? I think we're done here.I think they pushed up the launch to take advantage of the bad press regarding Samsung so they weren't able to meet demand. When did I claim I had an answer? So which is it? There is no demand? Or so much demand they can't meet it? I think we're done here.
I know of a lot of people that aren't going to bother upgrading for the same reason. No big improvements, same look for the most part and lack of audio jack.None of the carrier stores had lines, they had no JBs or pluses either but are full of regular 7s. If this was the 6 the 4.7s would be gone as well as the pluses. But from what I understand unlike other releases no one feels like this is a real upgrade unless they get the new color and the bigger phone. I can walk into any ATT and get a 7 and this Downtown NYC

This too. A lot of people wanted the plus model but we (at BBY) have none. We have plenty of the regular 7s but not +s. Right now, inventory for the Plus models (especially jet black) is pretty much strained for all Apple stores and Apple sellers. It sucks too b/c the customer really want that phone but nobody has any to sellIt's not busy at stores because Apple doesn't have nearly as much iPhone stock as in years past...
Apple's stock is up 10% this week (it is off a little bit today along with the broader market), so the market disagrees. Of course, we won't know until Apple releases its forecast for the holiday quarter.
The T-Mobile and Sprint announcements did more to move the stock since they at least gave percentages (though not outright numbers). As I said, we'll find out at the next earnings release.Yeah and Nintendo stock went up like crazy, until people realized Pokémon Go wasn't make by then. I think the sell out and "big launch ever" statements are completely meaningless since we don't know how many phones were actually available. Seems that the quantity was quite more limited this time, even since a week ago in the preorders.
