..Seriously, why are they still selling the iphone 6s
Maybe they could also throw in a few 4s and some 3Gs while they're at it?

Have there ever been so many different iphones with so little to differentiate them (talking about the 6s, 6s+, 7, 7+, 8, 8+) on sale?? It's craziness!
Probably there's some tim cook business strategy behind it, but cmon! Just lower the price for the 7 and remove the 6s!

These are the iphones apple is selling good or there must be a demand for these iPhones. Some of my family members they don't like big phones and they bought iphone SE. Different ppl different preferences.

They kept the 6s for the headphone jack on a larger phone. My MIL needs a new phone and this is what I would get her.

Next year there will be a renaming in iPhone lineup.
Hopefully:
Iphone SE, Iphone and Iphone Pro

It deeply contradicts what Steve jobs did with Apple when he returned to them, that's why it bothers me.
I guess you don't remember a little device called iPod.

Yep, I'm 99% sure this is why. Too many people realise wireless headphones are inferior.
They don't realize, they assume.

Fair point- but I'd argue that the different iPods had more distinctive features or at least LOOKED more different from another ;)

It's a fact I'm afraid, $200 airpods might have some benefits but they still sound worse than $40 Sennheisers.
Just get the beats x then, or how about some bose quiet comfort, they definitely don't sound worse than their wired counterparts and are MUCH more comfortable. I absolutely would never want to go back to wired! It's so much more comfortable especially in the winter without the cords that get stuck in your scarf etc..
