I'm really hoping they'll keep the 4" factor for years to come. However, 3.5" I think is pretty much done for.

I've been able to do most things with one hand on my 6 that I also used to do on my 5S. Can't say that I miss the smaller size.

i'm sick and tired of slippery iPhone 6!

Gorgeous display yes but it's useless for one hand use...I never liked the 4 inch size of the iPhone 5 either but at least i was able to use it with one hand sometimes.

The perfect size for one hand use will forever be the 3.5 inch on the iPhone 4.

Which makes me wonder if  will consider releasing an iPhone mini...I'm just wondering ;)

No iPhone could ever be used with one hand in every situations. You might want to rethink smartphines and get a dumbphone, those are true one handed devices.

How many hands do you have?

I will never understand this obsession with one-handed use.

"Obsession?" That's a bit hyperbolic now.

Do you sincerely think it's odd for one to want to use their phone with 1 hand? Do you never find yourself also wanting to carry anything else along with your phone?

Coffee/tea? A book? An umbrella? A grocery bag? A kid?

There Re those of us who do occasionally put our phones down or only quickly get them out when needed.

why ppl who prefer bigger smartphones get mad when someone says he prefers smaller sized smartphone?

Don't get mad, i understand the importance of bigger iPhone for you, but if you look at the direction Apple is going right now, they are trying to satisfy the needs for all users to gain more market share, (iPhone 5C, bigger iPhones, lower priced Macs etc)

Eventually, they will release a smaller iPhone, it's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when.

I wouldn't be so confident about it, to be honest. I do feel your pain though, and wish Apple will have released 3 sizes for future iPhone generations as well. Oh, and there won't be new 3.5-inchers, thats for sure.

There were people on here always saying "just buy an iPad mini if u want a bigger iPhone"

So the most appropriate answer for the people crying about size is "just buy an iPod touch" ;)

But seriously..

I see a 4.0/4.7/5.5 lineup.

I would love to see a 6c (5s in a colorful plastic shell). Now I don't know how likely that is but one can wish.

Mobiles started huge, then got smaller and smaller. Then they started getting bigger and bigger. As with many trends, odds are good we will see a smaller iPhone again someday.

I never seen phone with large screen before newer android phones. I did not see any blackberry with large screen or windows phone. I remember first windows phone had tiny screen and keyboard. apple changed all that

Yeah, I dont that is gonna be happening. People more often than not like the bigger phones.

I'm with you on wanting a smaller phone that is usable with one hand. I manage to use my iPhone 6 one-handed, but it's a pain.

I'm keeping an eye on Android devices as there is now a trend for smaller phones there. Not quite 5S small, but, for example, Sony Xperia Z3 Compact seems to strike a balance of one-handed usability with a decent sized screen while still having flagship-level specs.

It'll be funny if people start switching to Android to get smaller phones -- how the tables have turned. Then several years later Apple will release an updated small phone. Though I wouldn't be surprised if, in the near term, they repackage the 5S and keep it alive longer, the same way the 5C is a repackaged 5 with some minor improvements.

Perhaps the same day I get one of these:

But in all reality, probably whenever the market shifts again and goes a bit smaller or if there is a LOT of demand for it.

I dont belive screens will get any smaller any time. Even cheap zte devices are 200$ with 5.7" screens. I think phones become movies/shows screening devices and evreyone wants bigger screens. After all iphone 6 + are still hard to come by.

I went from the 6 plus to the 4s for this exact reason. I'm a little annoyed with how slow it is and the fact that I can't downgrade to an older, faster iOS, but otherwise it's awesome. It just feels so good in the hand, like some perfectly shaped stone on the beach....

The 4 and 4s were awesome. The screen was big enough to work with while on the go. As my always-on-me phone/camera/text/map device it was ideal. I miss my 4. The 5s I replaced it with was big enough to be a pain to pocket for me. So I decided I may as well try the Plus. I love it but will end up pairing it with an Apple Watch because I don't carry it around on me inside the house and I am missing some texts and calls and such as they come in.

If a really well appointed (camera spec-wise) mini phone the size of the 4 or 4s is ever released I'd be tempted to go with it and an IPad Air sized web device as my iOS device team.

My current team is retina mini, 6plus and :apple: watch when it gets released.
