i actually DONT want the MMS on the iPhone...(it saves money when some1 sends a MMS n it comes as a txt), i just need copy/paste n itll be coo!

pretty much (almost) everywhere ese in the world, receiving SMS and MMS messages is free.

the mobile market is not yet ready for mass use of email. It simply isn't.

iPhone needs real MMS. Period. When you take a picture with your iPhone, there should be a box that will allow to send via Text Message.

This is one of the biggest downsides of the iPhone for me and it boggles the mind why it's still not available.

maybe because it already is? its called email. just add an email address to each person who you send MMS to that is their number@their network

you can look up these email addresses online (for example, verizon is 12345678@vzwpix.com)

and the email program is much more elegant and easy to use than any other MMS on any other phone

thanks to 3g speed, that allows you to get your pics that are sent to you from the internet, plus screenshot/image save, the need for MMS is virtually eliminated (the only thing that needs to be added is support for saving moving mms images and sound)

Couldn't disagree more. There is still a need for MMS or else I wouldn't keep getting those URLs in my texts telling me to go to some stupid page, enter a password, and seeing a horribly cropped down version of the picture.

The e-mail work-around is okay, but it's still no where near as convenient as sending MMS. Period.

If you don't like it, don't use it. For the lot of us who are used to having it on every other phone out there, it's a sorely missed feature. I wouldn't rag on anyone wanting a feature on the phone that I don't use. If I don't use it, it won't bother me that other people want it.

Jobs is wrong...

... but he gets away with it because the rest of the iPhone is great.

Sending photos by email is simply not as good for three reasons:

1) You have to collect email address from people whom you otherwise would not.

2) Most email does not instantaneously push to the iPhone, so your pic won't be seen until they happen to check their email.

3) Exchanging pictures with non-iPhone users is painful for both parties.

You should get a SMS stating the URL of the link(You can just click on that, and it'll open up Safari), and saying something along the lines of "***** just sent you a Picture, to see it click on the link below!"

and a password and User ID (which you have to remember/write down, because the iPhone does not support copy/paste)

That doesnt happen for me.

I just dont get the message period, leaving me with no way to ever see the pic.

I always sit back and read these MMS posts and never reply, but I wanna chime in too!

I'm sick and tired of receiving MMS link to a web page. The iphone should have MMS, period!

I find it insulting that it doesn't. Friends send me MMS's now more then ever because they know its going to be a pain in the ass for me to do so.
