It would definitely be when landscape doesn't work on safari now and then. Actually right now is one of those times. Hasn't worked for the past 5 minutes. Time to reset my phone real quick.

Most annoying feature is probably the really quiet speaker phone.

iPhone is the quietest phone I´ve ever had.

THat's a good thing. Apple must understand that most people don't have proper phone etiquette, so it's best to keep everyone's phone a bit quieter than the ridiculously loud Nokias.

I'm actually glad they're not retardedly loud. I think ALL phones should only have vibrate ringers.

I know that for some of you this might be useful. It is useful for me too but there are a few cases when I hate it.
Is the feature when you call someone and the light sensor (or what is that) makes your screen to turn off.
I called a friend in the middle of the night and my screen was turning on and off over and over again so in the end, it called him for a few seconds and then I managed to turn it off.

That only happens (for me) if you quit safari. If you leave it open, it will keep the pages in memory

How can your Safari be different than mine? Mine always wants to reload websites after a period of absence.

+1

Just leave Safari open in the multitasking, this way when you re-open it, it won't reload your pages. I use it this way.

I never close safari, but it most always wants to reload. Try going into a deep basement or somewhere where there is no reception to see if you are correct.

I might open a dozen pages for reading later when I've finished viewing the front page of a forum or news site. Each and every time I have to go back to the main page because safari assumes that if I open a new page, I want to go to that new page. So frustrating.

Hey everyone, Jailbreak and fix every problem on this page plus tons more. No it wont change your battery life. No its not illegal. No it wont void your warranty (if you're smart) and it takes five minutes to do. Best thing Ive ever done. Everything Ive ever wanted on my iPhone I an now have. No idea why so many are against it.

There is no un-tethered 4.2 Jailbreak that I am aware of (if there is, please PM me, I'd love to know.) I know some folks will say 4.2 is worthless but for the "Find my iPhone" ALONE I'll keep it. I often have to have my phone on silent, and I often misplace it. Now, I can make it "ring" through my web browser even if it's on silent. So that's probably why many users right now aren't adopting it, in addition to alot of misconceptions. It's not the act of jailbreaking that causes problems, but the multitude of poorly written apps there are. As a rule of thumb, if it looks like something Apple might have approved, then they probably rejected it because of instability, or custom API's (which means the next iOS update might break it, and it's certainly inefficient). Doesn't apply for tweaks like your talking about, but you get my drift. I think those apps give jailbreaking a bad name.

Use Instapaper, it will save the pages for offline reading.

This

I'm not a programmer, but it seems to me that this would be a relatively easy tweak.

Just automatically disable page reloading if no signal is detected.

Maybe submit the suggestion to Apple?

The reason this happens is because other programs want RAM. Safari says "Hey! Here's some memory I haven't used in awhile! Take this!" And so your page gets wiped so that other apps can use that space.

Apple could implement your suggestion, but then everything else would slow down since Safari's now using 400 MB of RAM (for example) and everything else has to share the remaining 112 MB.

A far better solution is to use an app like Instapaper which is made for exactly this reason.

2 major things for me. The new double tap double left swipe for volume controls isn't as useful as say... Brightness or camera controls? I can't be alone on that. There is already a volume control ingrained in the hardware, this new feature could use something better that is not already as easily accessible.

2nd.. I want to be able to drag and drop my photo collection from my computer to my iPhone. I HATE having to sync it. It's a huge buggy pain in the ass. My collection is around 1.65 gb on my laptop, but when I sync it says the photos on my iphone are over 3.5 gb. Give me a break. Let me drag and drop and keep the overall file size down.. Not creating extra **** that takes up space. One of my biggest complaints.

A landscape lock would be interesting too. Often I'm reading something when I'm lying down, wishing I could lock into landscape to make it easier.

Reloading Safari pages by far. Imagine traveling internationally and using electronic boarding passes - when you're about to board the plane you realize that the webpage w/ the electronic Boarding pass suddenty refuses to load... (my employer doesn't allow me to Roam)

I've now started to take screen shots of the boarding pass and present that instead and by TSA standards that is probably fraudulent and punishable by a slow death through water boarding

The way the lock screen notifications work.

Say you get a text when the screen is off. The notification pops up with the sender and message. Fine. Now say you get another text. The new notification pops up and replaces the old one, with no indication of any other messages.

The problem I have is sometimes if I don't check my phone for a bit, when I do turn it on to check if I have any notifications only the last one will appear. A lot of times I won't even think and just think I have the one message. Then later I'll unlock the phone and find I have, for example, 3 missed calls, 2 texts, and a voicemail.

If you turn the screen on to see the last message, then press the sleep/wake button to turn it off and on again, it will show everything... ie "Missed Calls (3), Voicemails (2)"...but not if the screen turns off by itself. I don't know about anyone else, but this is freaking annoying to me.

This is very interesting.
How do you take a screenshot with an Iphone?

JAILBREAK. Every problem listed on this page is solvable. Just because Apple hasn't solved it yet... ;)

Should there REALLY be a keyboard with a smaller return key that a Jailbreak app can offer, I'd be extremely grateful if you could let me know what it's called. I had a look, and while you can find keyboards in all sorts of colours, themes and 4 or 5 row keyboards, non address that problem. Not that I could see, at least.

No, I meant the phone´s speaker. You know, when you are trying to have a phone conversation with someone. But of course with iPhone it´s &%#€%&& difficult, ´cause it´s hard to hear the other person.

"What? What? WHAAAAAAAT!? Could you please speak up louder! I can´t hear you because I have a €%&€%%€%€ iPhone."

LOL. Another annoying thing is the inclusion of a volume slider in the multitasking bar, but no brightness.

YES YES YES!!! This should be a no brainer! But Apple sucks with the most basic things. In fact there should be a brightness control in the main opening screen. Maybe a two finger pinch gesture?

My most annoying feature of the iPhone is its passiveness.

Wanna know if you missed a call, message, or notification?
Turn on the screen to find out.

Wanna launch an application, such as an RSS aggregator or turn on and off Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/3G, at a specific time?
You can't.

As much as I think the Windows Phone 7 is a dud, the commercials are spot on. You're always looking down and commanding the iPhone what to do, instead of it doing a lot of stuff for you automatically and in the background, so that you can get on with your life.

I've said it for years: it would be nice if the iPhone had an LED indicator, possibly inside the Home button or the Sleep/Wake button. Blink red for a missed call or low battery, yellow for a missed text or notification, green for powered on and no incidents, blue for paired and no incidents, solid green or blue for charging and no incidents.

It also should be able to launch applications at a given time and have them have the ability to terminate on its own. I'd have an RSS aggregator automatically launch every 30 minutes, grab all the feeds, then terminate. I can see tracking software launch between 9AM and 5PM to launch every 10 minutes email me back a geo-location and phone status. I can imagine having the Bluetooth specified to turn on between 8AM-9AM, and 5PM-6PM when one is driving in their BT-enabled car on their commute to/from work.

And, no jailbreaking is not always an option for everyone.
