How would you txt or add a new contacts with just a scroll wheel?
Via computer? (Yes, it would be stupid if a new number came about.)

But you could always add them with the scroll wheel. Remember how a nano allows you to search? That.

If a fire starts and my phone lines are cut off and I have an iPhone Nano that uses a click wheel. I would have a HARD TIME dialing 911. Screw that, touchscreen is the main focus of the iPhone branch.

If you were kidnapped with your iPhone in your back pocket, and your arms tied behind your back, you'd also have a hard time dialing 911. Too bad, should've had real keys.

;)

Still can't convince me, they BELIEVE the information is not real.

"A number of sellers in major iPhone electronic building in Shenzhen are selling clones of the new iPhone Nano. Clones companies normally get their specs from Apple supplier insiders."

Tackle this one, because it sounds very real to me now.

'Cause we all know, after MacWorld, Apple will never release another product, ever.

Well, in Macworld anyways....

or those people in shengzhen know that if they just make up a product that seems plausible, people will buy it anyway.

Majority of the people in China won't buy fake electronics. The people who make fake products would like to stick close to a certain model so that most people won't be suspicious about its existence. That is how things work here in China.

There will not be an iphone that uses physical buttons. No way, no how, not now, and not as long as Jobs is CEO of Apple.

BTW - all they have to do is implement landscape keyboard in all apps (esp. mail and sms) and an "iphone nano" would have plenty of room to type.

Yup...or make the keyboard "sure type"-like, similar to the BB pearl. Or keep the horizontal width the same.

You mean just scroll up and down with the clock wheel and select letters one by one? Like how searching is done on the iPod right now? YOU would want to do that for a long name / number?

And yet, bazillions of kids used exactly this mechanism (or worse) to enter their names in the high score list on console and arcade video games.

i'm not sure about your first comment. its kind of clear when you buy a $5 gucci labeled bag or when you can get an iphone nano before its available in america, it is fake. at least that's how it works in taiwan.

I said fake electronics to be clear. Well, I lived in Beijing and I know that people wouldn't buy fake electronic products because first of all, you won't be getting alot and you will be faced with hardware and software issues with almost no one to turn to. But, we all love pirated software in Beijing and I think pirated DVDs are the most popular of all.

Good luck text messaging your friends or family with that, we are talking about PHONES, not arcade video games and consoles.

All they'd have to do is license Blackberry's SureType layout or, alternatively, use their own take on the ol' T9. Button-size issues begone.
